Issues with old map co-ords

Postby the.killing.44 on Thu May 21, 2009 5:01 pm

Well, I've seen a couple complaints about this and now that I look at it more, there are numerous old maps on which the 888s or color code + 2-digits numbers literally go off the map and can't be seen.

(colors designate how bad they are)

    Alexander's Empire
    • Indian Interior — move the co-ords down and left
    Image
    Ancient Greece
    • Phrygia — move the co-ords down and left

    Europe
    • Iraq — move the co-ords left

    Pearl Harbor
    • K6 — move the co-ords up and left

We could easily change the XML files, but changing circle locations would be harder. Plus Greece needs a revamp (I know K started one) badly in any case.

Perhaps you could screenshot those cases so others can see what you are talking about?

Fixing cases like the above mentioned ones is something we should definitely look into, because it affects gameplay and general enjoyment of the map.

In several of the cases, moving it to the left would make the army circle seems off center, this might cause trouble with the editing plan.

The ability to play trumps aesthetics 10 out of 10 times.

I was saying do both, it would take someone with the PSD 2 seconds to move them

Well I actually did yeti!

I was saying that even though it is "harder' it still needs to be done
