Rather than bumping the thread you could have sent wca a PM on this... it would have gotten you the answer you desire more quickly, and you would come off as less annoying.
Anyway, I want to point out that we have had a CC map in which everybody is rushing to the center (St. Patrick's Day), and the general consensus was that the gameplay was absolutely awful. Most of the games I played in were decided by luck - some were all but over by the middle of the second round. The beauty of Oasis is that by splitting the central objective into three territories it makes it considerably harder to capture, and easier to take out.
Thematically, I'd love to see you guys some up with more than just a bunch of craters. Seems to me that the crater theme was an afterthought that you chose just because craters are round and can be clustered together like your mock-up. You could just as easily have gone with such equally bad ideas as a game of marbles, a bowl of cheerios, or a fruit salad.. call it "Capture the Pear!"
