"A Hold of Me is an abrupt departure from Crazy Sue's early work. With an array of intricate melodies and steady beats, the former tween star takes a step forward from the ranks of pop-punk wannabes. What makes this album contrast so starkly with the likes of Avril Lavigne and Avril-Lavigne clones? Is it the guest vocals from such industry luminaries as Usher, William Hung and Sammy Hagar? The bagpipe solo in every song? The fact that only 11 of the 14 songs mention shopping at The Gap?
