a few hours of very strong winds and whole country grinds to a halt
Would you choose supremecy if it lead to isolation?

didnt know it was that many. Nature proving to us it still reigns supreme

took my council an hour to clear one tree from my school entrance..most of it is still there.... thats what i meant by grinding to a halt

and im going to stop now before i unintentionally start insulting people

Its alright I didn't die :D

6 hours in stationary traffic up the m1 to Leeds wasn't brilliant though. Especially when the big fuck-off lorries were ignoring the instruction to get off the motorway.

Interestingly I've been flamed for missing a (single) turn whilst stuck in said storm and traffic jam.

What? Lorries toppling over right left and centre and walls collapsing on top of people? Glad I live south of the border!

My, that's alot. Almost makes me feel sorry, but then I console myself with the knowledge that Britain has a population of 60 million.

Not really much of a loss when you think about it.

That is true, but what you fail to understand is that British people like complaining about the weather. Considering that our weather is actually pretty tame by world standards, that means we have to eke out every last possible spurious "tragedy" when we get a bit of wind (or rain, or snow), so that we can feel justified in wallowing in self-pity.
