You make it sound like getting a bye is a neutral thing. But what does getting a "win" do for you? Seems to me you don't care how many games you win, you just don't want to get 3 losses. So everyone wants the bye...

It IS POSSIBLE that one player could get them all (or even more than one), I suppose. However, it would be so improbable as to be statistically insignificant, at least until the much later rounds when there aren't very many players left.
No, I don't plan to restrict that possibility any...I like to keep it all random. But as I said, the odds of someone even getting more than one bye (until we get down to say...15 or so left) is REALLY remote. We are starting out with 128 players, after all. <smile>
