All done and tied you heatz - 26-12. If my review is correct, we should tie for 3rd with you winning the tiebreaker.

You might want to go back and re-check your totals. Based upon what I am seeing under the Game Finder for games in this tournament, you have actually lost 12. If you win the last game, you will be in the top 6 that automatically move on. If you lose, it looks like you tie with Sampdoria and Torino for 5th and lose the tiebreaker with the fewest away wins. I clearly could be wrong and the final results should be out soon with only 3 games remaining. Good luck in your final game.

By the way, if my calculations are correct, congrats to tyler197802198 and Siena for winning the league.

I just noticed something Bruenor - when looking at the games from Inter Milan, the following game you were not in - Game 4318792. It appears as if MOB joined it my mistake. When I went through and did my unofficial count, this was counted as a loss since your name wasn't listed as the winner. I think you might want to contact the tourney director to get a new game set up to take its place since a win for you could change the final standings - unless you can get them to count this as a win for you since MOB did win and accidentally took your place ;)

just bringing this thread back up to the top. Looks like the tournament organizer - douchbagbill - hasn't been logged on since March 4. I hope everything is alright as I like the concept of this tournament and it was going so well.

So what now?

Second priority: Do we....
  • Wait for doochbagbill?
  • Wait for Godot!
  • Abandon?
  • Find a new TM!

First priority... does anyone know him in the real world? If so, is he OK?

Well done that man!

I quite like mucking around with spreadsheets. I'd be happy to create one with all the fixtures for the remaining leagues.

Would anyone else mind doing some typing for me to help?

My thoughts too.

What needs to be done?

doochbagbill has set it all up. There appears to be a list of all the players and all their selections on the screen shots he posted.

  • Someone to get the permission to run the tournament from the mods. The same person needs to:
    • Create all the games with paswords.
    • PM/Contact the players.
    • Anything else for the new TM?
  • Someone to keep track of the scores.
  • Someone to make a hard copy of all the players and their settings.
  • Someone to create the list of games. GenuineEarlGrey
  • Anything else?

Again, does anyone know him in the real world? If so, is he OK?

You have added a nice twist... games can be drawn!

But what about those poor souls that have played 38 games already?

Do you not fancy picking up the regins on this one and seeing it through? You might find yourself with a possy for your improved version!

i think some of you need to look at the rules about torni's ,,

You can't take over a tourni without permission from the creator , so until Douch lets you take over , this tourni should be moved to abandoned

First and foremost thank you for confirming the rules.

The European League & Champions League appears to have hit the buffers but before it gets put on that top shelf marked "abandoned" there is one glimmer of light where the rules could be bent.

If you are interested in how this could be done within the rules then the details are here:
show

Alas nobody wants to carry the can. There are some who'd like to help but noone in the position to commit.

Perhaps we should set a cut-off date for Douch? Easter? End of April?

Tell me, SNARF17WD, would you consider compensating those qualifiers from the two completed leagues by giving them slots in the Championship League?

Why? Why not! These guys have played 38 matches. It would also give your tournament more validity rather than been seen as a mere copy of the original. And cudos to you too!

How, see here:
show

Go on!
