I understand account sitting & have been asked if I would for someone else. Never was it for a game that I was part of (with or against that person). What's to say that one person did not create freestyle game & join with both for just that reason of account switching?

no i dont log on as blackraptor58 and join him in games i make.. i wont do that... but black's dad is on the computer most of the time because that is part of his job. so i take his turns for him sometimes. and im busy sometimes because i am out most of the time or lately i have been really sick so black takes my turns when i cant. the reason i took those turns is because i didnt want to miss the turn just because black's dad is on computer and i am sleeping or someone else in my family is on the computer, my brother is in college and i have sometimes missed turns because he is on computer all day and my mom plays games on computer to, so im srry if it was beneficial to our game, i would rather do that than miss a turn altogether.
Kotaro wrote:This is a BS decision.
When account sitting, someone doesn't pick up a watch and time when their friends turns are going to be "just about over". People simply log on when they usually do, take their turns, log on to their partner, take their turns, and then leave. This isn't trying to gain a tactical advantage, this is taking a turn so their partner doesn't deadbeat, while also having a life.
Bullshit smells like bullshit.
Twill wrote:It seems as though some people have taken the shelfing of this current proposal to mean that sitting is now a free for all.
It mean's we've had to update the FAQ rule a little to clarify:FAQ 15 wrote:You can, with the stipulation that the account babysitter is not your opponent in any current game and does not start or join new games (except for ongoing tournaments). It is common courtesy to announce in game chat that another player will take your turn(s) during your absence. Furthermore, you should only take another player's turn if they are in danger of missing a turn, not for the purpose of gaining a tactical advantage.
(emphasis added)
This is not a departure from what was true before, it simply makes tactical account sitting a punishable offence (which is always has been in practice)
I will update the first post with this as well.
Have a good one

Where was the danger of missing a turn in doing that?
Kotaro wrote:Kind of like moderators blowing off e-tickets because they're lazy fucks? Yeah, that's pretty damn annoying too.

Actually you seem to be confused on two things.
1) This isn't flame wars. Keep flames out of here unless you want to be taken out of here.
2) Moderators don't handle e-tickets...Admins do (more specifically KA or Andy, but I forget which).

Uhh, the danger of missing a turn? The danger was a game loss, and a possible missed turn. When Nem's jumps off, he's done for the day. And his schedule is chaotic. He probably wanted to finish the damn game, because he knew he wouldn't be getting on for a long ass time.
And again, there's no strategic advantage here that wouldn't have happened, if blackraptor58 would have been allowed to come online. They took their turns together? Oh no! He took a turn! So the f*ck what? This is just one man getting pissy that he lost, and calling cheating where there is no. Can't believe King A didn't have enough common sense to throw this out. Utter bullshit.
Humrlmo wrote:Kotaro, you obviously did not check out the game! "Pissy about a loss"? We won that game, FYI, and it's not about a win or loss, about cheating. And to say "The danger was a game loss", is admitting knowledge that switching back and forth in accounts is a tactical advantage!
The decision is done, unless it gets changed, and bitching by you (for what? it's not against you!) on this thread is not doing you any good. Do you agree with cheating?

Kotaro wrote:How is switching back and forth an advantage? Did it somehow give him bonus armies that would have not otherwise been there? Maybe it gave him some sort of magical dice? Or perhaps, if his partner had been on and since they're such a good team, would the exact same thing happened?
