In the beginning there were 16 nations/states/groups/individuals/whatever. However, fighting broke out, teams were formed, and they started two 4v4 wars. Once these wars were over, the winning teams began to look at each other suspiciously; they turned on each others, forming new teams and fighting another 4v4 war. After the dust cleared, it appeared there was no one left to fight with . . .
. . . wrong.
The winners turned on each other, fighting a 2v2 war just as ferocious as the ones they had just finished. The only difference was that now they had experience, and were used to the grind of daily battles.
The winning team did not even have a chance to clean their tanks/rifles/swords/whatever before they, too, turned on each other. This last battle left just one winner, and no question as to who it was. Or do I hear the sounds of an uprising?
In war there is no double elimination. In war there aren't magic airlifts that transport you all the way across the world, or miraculous spies that show you were all of your opponent's armies are. And this is total war: all your spoils are burnt-out wrecks not even worth salvaging. All games will be sequencial, adjacent, foggy, no spoils.
Note: teams will be determined in a way that makes each side's total points as close as possible.
