JohnCates, HoldemDuck, Darts4ever [Blocked]

Subject line: JohnCates & HoldemDuck

These are suspected Multis

Suspect users: JohnCates & HoldemDuck

Game number: http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=127715

Comments: I began to suspect them after odd maneuvers on their part, such as letting each other have full continent bonuses bordering each other with only 1 army each for defense for several turns. At first, I took this to be a secret alliance, then I did a search on games containing both players. Although they have played some games alone, most are played together and oddly enough joining at the same time in almost all cases. This is highly indicative of a multi, but at the very least they have a secret alliance.

It looks like JohnCates & HoldemDuck & Darts4ever indeed all know each other, and as a precaution I'll block all from playing together.

So then...

I assume that this means those of us currently in game with them are just to suffer the consequences of their tactics.

Use the feedback to vent your frustrations(I know) Andy is only 1 guy...be your own filter, take the time to see who you are playing, feedback, game search...you may miss a good game but I bet you'll avoid more bad ones..

Interesting response

Postby i_Cypher on Sun Dec 31, 2006 4:55 pm

Not venting, but am looking for an answer to whether or not anything will be done about their current games. Again, I'm left to assume by your response that nothing will be done about the current game.

Unfortunately, nothing at the moment can be done about multis (though these are all not). In the future we will do something about games they are in.

Are you kidding me?

Postby JohnCates on Sat Jan 06, 2007 7:55 pm

I have never played in conjunction with any other player. This player i_cypher just started attacking me every turn and i couldnt figure it out. I had to pretty much pry something out of him, but not before he ruined the game. If you think i am cheating (because i am winning) then you can have you own stupid opinion. But it is a GAME, you cant win money!!! And if I was worried about a stupid ranking, I would just play more games and look for lower levels to play. If you notice, I almost ALWAYS start the game, I usually get jumped by teams of cheaters.
At on time I had played about 30 straight games with Dugcarr. I guess I was cheating with him? Or maybe ZOOt, he is in three of my games now. I assure you, you check any of my game transactions historys and you wont find and "friendly" border play. Now I was in the first game Hold'em Duck was even in, we chated for along time and I gave him some tips on how to play. If he takes it easy on me, then so be it, but i assure you I dont take it easy on him. Maybe you can do some sort of IP Address search and you will realize what a complete idiot you are.

In the world game you are referring to, it is very easy to think someone is teaming up against you for one reason or another. If you are a seasoned player you know whoever is winning you go for, if you have to let someone keep a bonus so they can do it, that is what is done, cause otherwise you are a gonner. I am in another world game with him, and that is what everyone in the game is doing. Sometimes someone attacks you and you are like hey, I shouldn't be the target and then obviously you attack them back, unless you are smarter than me and ignore it. I just don't think you can use the World game as a tell tale sign of cheating, and have seen none of it.

Agree, barbie

That's basically a standard method of play for the game barbie, but administrators can look into other means of who knows each other and who has multiple accounts. Andy looked into it. I only inquired and passed along the suspicion. It was due to suspicious moves during the game that I made the report. I'm a seasoned vet of strategy games...been playing such games as RISK, AXIS & ALLIES, CHAINMAIL, etc since I was ten....of course AA didn't come out until I was twenty-something but the game types nice. The one I really want is the online version of SHOGUN...wow...instense strategies.

That said that doesn't make me an expert at strategy, because unfortunately that's the nature of mathematical based warfare, and even worse for actual. However, I does give me certain insight into moves by players who are supposed to have a certain skill level, especially when they leave themselves widely open to basic maneuvers by so-called "enemy's."

There is a place for team-play on here, in Doubles or Triples games, and I believe that that's where they should remain. Or for real alliance strict games, try Aevum Obscurum, where it costs you moves to form or break either a CF, NAP, or Alliance. Its quite fun, and you get to select how long each turn is, from 8 hours per turn to something like 72 hours per turn. Unfortunately, its one of those games where each performing your own actions takes much more of your time than Conquer Club.

As far as this game goes, I've already mistaken reported a suspicion that proved to be false. But, you know, no harm was done. Two rule-abiding players still gets to play, and were proven to be rule-abiding players. It helps there reputation in the end more than it mars it. So, what should any rule-abiding player have to fear of being accused.

retard

Postby JohnCates on Sun Jan 07, 2007 1:21 am

I agree check the moves of the game. The guy i was supposed in collusion with was in N America, I was in Australia. Check the history of the game and you will easily see that i_cypher is the battering ram, kncoking everyone down, except themistocles who is in the area right next to her building up to wi the game. And i see this chick has been accused of cheating herself ..... this is just stupid. I don't know why i even log out of Everquest to come put up with some retardo playing on a free account!

Thanks Barbie, u and i have played before and u usuall beat me, but maybe you know how i play.

The last thing is, if someone wanted to be ranked really high, couldnt they just open accounts and play them all in a private game and let the same person win everytime? I know it sounds stupid, but it fits right in with everything else I am hearing!
