your point is, that sports suck, so therefore, we don't deserve so many threads, no? or that since not EVERYONE loves sports, you feel like posting things about stuff that not EVERYBODY loves. i understand. and if, you "promoted the importance of sports" and asked for a forum, it wouldnt matter. you'd never have to deal with me, or any of my fellow sports freaks again.

I let you guys post plenty, and only mentioned it when I thought it was excessive.

You're right though, I am out to get you all, in some horrible genocide, I hear hitler had some good advice on the matter, perhaps I shall give him a call, he seems a man on my level.

Apologies, I misread your post, where you said:

it wouldnt matter. you'd never have to deal with me, or any of my fellow sports freaks again.

I thought you said,

it wouldnt matter. you'll never be able to deal with me, or any of my fellow sports freaks.

odd that,

Anyway now that I see you had a more rational standpoint and I actually feel like responding:

No I don't feel like posting about stuff everyone loves, I'm not that egotistical that I want to hear my name repeated over and over. :P

j/k there's nothing everyone loves, that I can think of, except maybe CC, which is offlimits in this forum!

To detail my problem further, and show why the solution you recommended isn't a good one for me:

There are two problems:

1. the nature/frequency of the sports posts here which I'm arguing purely from a forum ethics standpoint, (which I've done repeatedly in this thread) that the sports posts are rude, spammish and excessive, and my desired solution would be to adress these points (no caps locks in titles, actually say something in your posts aside from what I detailed above, try to condense similar topics into existing threads)

2. Promoting the importance of sports, which I oppose on a deeper ethical level (but have not saught to argue on these grounds, as it's one of those endless arguments). Anyway if I'm the cause of bringing about a seperate sports forum, it'll be a cruelly ironic twist of fate, so I'm not gonna encourage it. I'd rather grin and bear the sports posts here if I think it'll decrease the overall importance placed on sports in the world, as I tend to think on a utilitarian (maximum overall good) as opposed to egoist (maximum personal good) scale.

I don't post much about sports and I'm sorry if the little I do offends you. If there is so much sports talk that you can't handle seeing it, then maybe a sports forum is the route to take. The mess hall is for anything not CC so I don't think you can really tell people not to talk about something like that (which I think now you aren't, but at first you were). Right now is a football climax and it makes sense that people are posting about it when college bowl games are wrapping up and NFL playoffs are just starting. I'm sure it will all die down here as the playoffs come to a close. In any case, I will try my best not to offend anybody on this site with anything I have to say, and if I have in the past....I am truely sorry. I will try my bests not to encourage more sports posts.

The level it's at now is fine by me. I was prompted to make this post when I logged in one day and about 6 of the top 7 posts were all sports related.
