Disgusting as it seems, giving away positions and armies isn't against the rules.

All you can do is foe and move along. He's not a bad guy if you get to know him... he just gets a bit into the game. :P

Allow me to foe this guy -

I don't really care if he's a good guy when you get to know him; it gets on my nerves when people take these games too seriously.

This isn't cheating. It's not even unfair if you ask me.

By giving away your position and army numbers when you're close to winning, he prevents you from winning, thus giving himself a chance of winning. You may not like it, but it's part of the concept of fog.

The game log says the game ended the round after he told everyone about you, because you held the objective. I would call that close to winning.

Half of the concept of fog is for this 'type of gameplay'. Quit complaining, you look like an imbecile, and you're completely wrong.

Anything goes when another player has the objective.

If the choice is to reveal where your opponent is or lose the game, most people would pick reveal where they are. Cause they will have no chance of winning if they stay quiet.

From the new Community Guidelines
Fog of War Games:

Using the game chat to announce where a player's territories and troops may (or may not ;) ) be is NOT against the rules. It may come across as unfair or not in the spirit of the game, but feel free to find strategic applications of this non-rule.

Revealing information (or misinformation, which I personally prefer :D ) in fog games is a legitimate strategy, weasely as it may seem. If you're upset with WoWaholic's tactics then you can just foe him and everyone else who chooses to play that way. I don't think he'll mind, he foed me for not heeding a truce in the nine seconds that passed between him declaring it and me attacking him in the middle of a freestyle speed game... :?

Yep, Itrade has it correct. Posting army whereabouts in the chat is not a punishable offense. Find ways to use it to your advantage.

technically as others pointed out this isn't cheating...and WoWaholic has been known to come back from no where to win a game...so this wasn't done 100% to piss you off (although if you are rounding it might be close enough considering your conversation). sounds like you guys have no plans to play each other again in the near future ;)
