The last time these sides met there were narrow wins for NaC and RSC, a repeat of that would see Norfolk lift the trophy. Match Report- Red Stick Cajuns v Emo United
The whistle blows and the game is off, Red Stick immediately go on the attack. Emo United were defending solidly not allowing any room for RSC to push through. Every attack by Red Stick was being thwarted and after 16 minutes Emo went on the attack themselves. Fabregas played a great pass to Rosicky who found himself with a bit of space, he moved forward before slipping in Torres who curled the ball round Buffon and into the net. A terrible start for Red Stick. Red Stick Cajuns 0-1 Emo United.
Red Stick tried to fight back straight away and Emo invited them to attack. On 27 minutes RSC finally managed to break down the Emo defence, with a good move. Quaresma skinned Lahm before playing the ball into Bent, who then turned a played a through pass to Ronaldo. Ronaldo went through on the keeper and unselfishly played it to Alonso who simply had to tap the ball into the empty net, a well worked goal and they’re back level. Red Stick Cajuns 1-1 Emo United.
Both teams were matched up well with Emo United repelling most Red Stick attacks and creating the odd chance at the other end. The next major opportunity fell to RSC again. Ronaldo skipped past a few challenges before hitting a powerful shot with plenty of top spin. James did well to palm it away as the ball moved wickedly in the air, but it only went as far as Bent who had an open goal. Cannavaro slid in with an epic tackle to take the ball away from him, unbelievable.
The half time whistle blew with RSC in control of the game but still needing another goal to put maximum pressure on Norfolk and Chance. We now cross over to The Royal Stadium to get a report from the Redcar v Norfolk match.

Match Report- Redcar Royals v Norfolk and Chance
The game started off with Norfolk and Chance attacking as usual. They flooded men forward and Redcar attempted to counter them. It was the classic attack v counter attack match that provided great entertainment. Nani pushed down the wing and Puyol overlapped him in support, he chose not to play it to Puyol and instead cross it into the box. The cross was poor and Senderos cleared it away, Babel was there to collect the clearance. He played it to Aguero who had just Toure and the keeper to beat. He knocked it round Toure and struck a hard shot that rocketed into the net. Redcar Royals 1-0 Norfolk and Chance.
Stunned by the early loss of a goal Norfolk did what they know how to do best attack. A nice passing move got the ball to Gerrard in a promising position, he lined up a shot but just before he pulled the trigger Downing made a tackle. It only went as far as Pirlo though who curled a great cross into the box where Rooney was to head it past Casillas and into the net, what a start! Redcar Royals 1-1 Norfolk and Chance.
Both sides continued to have many chances and the game looked like being a repeat of the 7 goal thriller that happened last time these sides met. Robinho flicked the ball past Pirlo before playing the ball out wide to Downing. Downnig cut inside and fired a low ball across the face of goal; Toure cleared it out for a corner. Robinho took the corner but instead of playing it into the box he laid it off for Aguero on the edge of the box. The young Argentine struck it first time and it went through a crowd of bodies and into the net. Redcar Royals 2-1 Norfolk and Chance.
Redcar went into half time in the lead after an impressive first half display, and Norfolk knew they had to pick up their game in the second half or the title would go to Red Stick, where the second half was about to kick off.
Second Half Match Report- Red Stick Cajuns v Emo United
The game started to turn a little scrappy in the second half and neither side were creaing many chances that was until an impressive run by Ronaldo. He skinned Elano before doing a flik-flak that took him past Lahm, he cut inside and hit a curling shot. James dived but couldn’t reach it as it slammed into the post. That would have been some goal.
Emo United looked solid and started to get a fair bit of possession in the last 25 minutes, this led to a chance for Torres. Elano and Rosicky combined well to beat A.Cole before playing it to Fabregas, he then took one touch and played Torres in on goal. Torres hit a good shot low and into the corner, but Buffon made an incredible save to keep it out.
As time went on Red Stick realised they needed a goal to have as good a chance as possible of winning the league so they pushed on and Emo united sat in and soaked up the pressure. Persistence paid off when with 7 minutes left on the clock they got their chance to win it. Alonso played the ball down the wing to Quaresma who played a great cross into the box which gave Bent a free header at goal. He headed it powerfully but straight and James caught it in his hands.
With 5 minutes remaining news filtered threw into the stadium from the other game, which we will now cross over to.

The second half started and Norfolk and Chance were pushing hard to try get back level. Rooney dropped deep to pick up the ball before pushing forward once more and playing it on to Pirlo. Pirlo played a great one two with Gerrard that took him past Carr and through on goal, Casillas came out but Pirlo calmly slotted the ball past him and into the net. Redcar Royals 2-2 Norfolk and Chance.
Norfolk continued to pile men forward in search of more goals, but Redcar were doing a good job counter attacking them. One of these counter attacks saw Senderos of all people breaking away with the ball he passed it off to Robinho before continuing his run. Robinho drove past Puyol and but got pushed out wide, he ran to the touchline before crossing it back into the box. Senderos had stayed up and he headed it down into the ground and it bounced just before Van Der Sar deceiving him, before landing in the goal. Redcar Royals 3-2 Norfolk and Chance.
As the game continued Norfolk created more chances but kept getting caught on the counter by a fast moving Redcar midfield. When Gerrard’s pass went astray they broke quickly once more, this time it was Babel leading the charge. NaC couldn’t get back quick enough and Babel simply passed it to the open Aguero, who had just the keeper to beat. He smashed the shot into the roof of the net to complete his hatrick. Redcar Royals 4-2 Norfolk and Chance.
Norfolk were falling apart as their title hopes were dwindling and Redcar dominated the last 15 minutes. They pushed on and on 84 minutes had a chance to further their lead. Robinho seen a gap and sped through the middle before shooting, Van Der Sar got a hand to it but couldn’t stop it from hitting the net and compiling icedaggers misery.
