Looking at the table I've noticed that I have the best defensive team: 8-) 8-) 8-)

Strangely enough my team has the least goals scored against it, though it is an offensive team.

Bring it on ice 8-) 8-)

Matchday 12
Norfolk and Chance (ice) v Down Under United (iliad)
Red Stick Cajuns (LSU) v Redcar Royals (cena)
Emo United (sam) v Thunder Hawks (amino)
TWAT (lozz) v TR Clowns (panc)

Game 1
Norfolk and Chance are sitting top of the table and have a chance to turn the 3 horse race into a two man duel. A win would take away DDU’s last hopes of winning the title. For Down Under a win is a must, it would bring them to just one point behind Norfolk. A draw or a DDU win would suit RSC and see them go top should they win against Redcar. The last match between these teams was a 5 goal thriller, let’s hope for more of the same.

Teams
Norfolk and Chance (ice)
1. Van der sar, 37, World Class
2. Toure, 27, Excellent
3. Puyol, 30 World Class
4. Nani 21, Excellent
5 .Pirlo , 29 World Class
6. Gerrard, 27, World Class
7. Rooney, 22, World Class
8. Finnan 31, Excellent
9. Mascherano, 23, Excellent
10. Eduardo, 25, Excellent

Down Under United (illy)
1. Hart 20, Very Good
2. Vidic 26, Excellent
3. Agger 23, Excellent
4. Xavi, 28 World Class
5. Lampard, 29, World Class
6 .Arshavin, 27 World Class
7. Drogba, 30, World Class
8. Yobo 27, Very Good
9. K. Miller, 28, Very Good
10. A. Young 22, Very Good

Match Report
Right from the off it was clear that we were in for another cracking game. Norfolk were pushing high up the field and DDU were responding with chances of their own. The game was incredibly open and after DDU had just had a chance Norfolk got one of their own. Gerrard played a great pass in for Rooney who spun and laid it back for Nani. Nani shot from 25 yards and the ball deflected off of Agger and past Hart, it then hit the back of the net. What a start. Norfolk and Chance 1-0 Down Under United.

After more half chances at either end Norfolk got a full chance to double their lead on 21 minutes. Pirlo picked out the run of Nani down the wing and chipped a pass through, it was controlled well and Nani then skipped past Agger. He crossed a ball into the box and Vidic just couldn’t get their, instead it fell to Rooney who headed it in from just 6 yards. Norfolk and Chance 2-0 Down Under United.

DDU felt a little aggrieved to find themselves two down and pushed hard to pull one back. Lampard and Arshavin linked well, before the ball was played into Drogba’s feet. Drogba then prodded the ball on for Xavi who had burst through the middle. He came in on Van Der Sar and slotted the ball past him and into the net. But the linesman had his flag up and the goal was discounted for offside. It was a tight but correct decision.

The second half continued in a similar way and Norfolk and Chance found themselves exposed too high up the pitch on 55 minutes. Agger played a long ball and Lampard had acres of space to control it in. He did so and advanced until he was closed down by Vidic. He then slipped in Drogba who hit his shot early, he smashed it low past Van der Sar and DDU are back in it. Norfolk and Chance 2-1 Down Under United.

Both teams were playing well, especially in attack. A great attacking move got Norfolk another chance with an hour played. Pirlo played a pass for Rooney who turned sharply and gave it to Gerrard. Gerrard thought about the shot but decided against it, he instead drove forward and then played a beautiful chip to the back post. Rooney was there to meet it on the volley, it creamed past Hart and past the post.

The game slowed down a little until the last 10 minutes when it sparked back into life. Xavi whizzed a pass towards Drogba’s feet who let the ball run through his legs. The ball then ran onto Lampard, who took the ball in his stride. He advanced on goal before shooting past Van Der Sar it came back off the post to Drogba. His shot was blocked well by Vidic but it only went as far as Arshavin who dinked it back into the box. Lampard got to it and volleyed it with the inside of his boot; Van Der Sar could do nothing to stop this one. Norfolk and Chance 2-2 Down Under United.

Furious that his side had lost the goal icedagger urged his players forward. Almost immediately they got a chance to redeem themselves. Arshavin lost possession 40 yards from goal to Prilo. Pirlo then played a long pass out wide to Nani who was tackled by Agger. The ball went out for a throw in. The throw was taken short to Gerrard who took a shot from a tight angle, Hart could only parry the spinning shot and it fell and Rooney’s feet who simply tapped the ball into the empty net. Norfolk and Chance 3-2 Down Under United.

Even in the dying moments of the game there were plenty of chances for both sides. On 88 minutes Drogba got a chance for an equaliser. A good ball from Arshavin gave Drogba the ball 35 yards out. He moved forward and then played a one two with Xavi to send him in on the keeper. Drogba curled the ball nicely into the corner, DDU have nicked a point late on again. Norfolk and Chance 3-3 Down Under United.

Norfolk and Chance 3-3 Down Under United.
Nani 13-------------------Drogba 55, 88
Rooney 21, 82-----------Lampard 81

I'm sure I'm glad I invested in team morale! Sheesh twice in a row down against rival and epic comeback

GG ice. I don't know why but whenever we play each other we seem to score at least 2 or 3 goals each

TWAT (lozz) v TR Clowns (panc)

Game 2
With their two main rivals drawing earlier RSC have a huge chance two move 2 points clear of Norfolk and 6 clear of DDU with just two games remaining. A win would see DDU’s slim hopes disappear and give them a clear advantage over NaC. Redcar have being going well of late, finally getting out of the drop zone although with the drop zone being extremely tight they need all the points they can get to avoid the drop.

Teams
Red Stick Cajuns (lsu)
1. Buffon, 30, World Class
2. Ashley Cole 27, Excellent
3. Clichy 22, Excellent
4. Quaresma, 24, World Class
5. Lucas 21, Very Good
6. C. Ronaldo 23, Footballing God
7. D. Bent, 24, Excellent
8. Kranjcar 23, Good
9. Zarate, 21, Very Good
10. Huddlestone, 21, Good

Redcar Royals(cena)
1. Casillas 27, World Class
2. Senderos 23, Very Good
3. Carr 31, Very Good
4. Babel 21, Excellent
5. Joe Cole, 26, Excellent
6. Downing, 23, Excellent
7. Aguero 20, World Class
8. G. Neville 33, Very Good
9. Fox, 17, Average
10. Tevez, 24, Excellent

Match Report
The game started off at a quick pace, with Red Stick pushing forward and Redcar trying to pounce on the break. The first chance of the match came from a RSC corner. Ronaldo did well to win the corner from an over hit pass by Lucas. Quaresma then stepped up to take the corne. He whizzed it in at pace to the front post and it was flicked on by Ronaldo, it had Casillas beat but skimmed of the bar and out for a goal kick.

On 27 minutes RR managed to have their first successful counter attack. Babel took the ball from his own half and drove on up the pitch; he had two players in support but waited until the last minute before releasing Downing. He struck it hard but Buffon got his fingertips to it. This wasn’t enough to stop it flying into the goal. Red Stick Cajuns 0-1 Redcar Royals.

RSC attempted to respond immediately to going behind. They flung men forward and got their chance just 4 minutes later. Ashley Cole burst down the left wing before cutting inside and playing the ball to Quaresma. Quaresma got to the by-line before attempting a cross but it was blocked by Carr. The ball spun back to A. Cole who struck it from the edge of the box, it spun at pace and Casillas was helpless as the ball went right in the top corner. Red Stick Cajuns 1-1 Redcar Royals.

The game then slowed down for the next 15 minutes with Red Stick controlling most of the game, RR were happy to invite the pressure but were finding it hard to get forward. At the start of the second half Red Stick came out more ambitious inspired by the half time team talk. Quaresma advanced towards goal with Senderos giving chase; he then slid in Ronaldo who cut a pass across goal. Bent came in and struck it first time, only a great diving save from Casillas kept it out.

The continued to apply pressure and Redcar resorted to hacking down the Red Stick players. But despite there hard tackling they failed to stop RSC getting a chance on 73 minutes. Lucas skipped past the challenge by Carr before playing a long pass along the ground to Bent. Bent then played in the advancing Ronaldo who drove into the box and smacked a shot along the ground, past Casillas and into the corner of the goal. Red Stick Cajuns 2-1 Redcar Royals.

Redcar pushed forward in search of a late equaliser and were very quickly awarded with an opportunity. A long pass from Babel was misjudged by Clichy and it ran through for Aguero. Lucas tried to make the tackle but Aguero left him sitting on his backside, next came the challenge from Ashley Cole but Aguero simply knocked it through his legs. The great run from Aguero left him in on goal, he then slotted the ball past Buffon and got the equaliser that will have not only Cena jumping for joy, but Ice and illy also. Red Stick Cajuns 2-2 Redcar Royals.

Red Stick Cajuns 2-2 Redcar Royals.
A. Cole 31-------------Downing 27
Ronaldo 73------------Aguero 79
