i am positively sure that 2k7 and hiddendragon have nothing to do with cheating. i am not from their clan or anything but been playing with them quite few times and they are as good as they get...

You still have yet to prove how Night Strike was condescending, unprofessional, or inadequate in his response. He isn't an admin, therefore he cannot fix the situation. He isn't a Hunter, and therefore he has no idea what happened with the block or the details thereof. He cannot truthfully offer an apology because it has absolutely nothing to do with him, and finally, his response was not belittling or anything else. He simply stated that he had notified the admins of the situation (good idea on his part), that they could fill out an e-ticket (which the can regardless of if the OP thinks it won't work), and suggested staying away from *manimal or anything resembling *manimal (granted, that isn't as easy at it looks).

Still not sure where you get off saying he was doing a disservice to the "paying" customer of the site, Iliad. He did the only things he could do.

BaldAdonis and hwhrhett if i took your messages wrong i apologize and shouldnt jump at people like that... it just makes me mad my son got the blame for something he didnt do... i also apologize to G1 for my statement... hwhrhett by the way assassin07 isnt guilty and hasnt been banned yet the are trying to work out the details... if he did something wrong he would let me know always has and hopefully always will... all i can do is hope for the best....

Is it the shop's fault that one of their products was faulty-no but they will still apologise. Is it the customer service guy's fault that your product for some reason broke for no reason-no but they will still apologise or otherwise act nicely to you.

Here's much different though.

You may get me to understand one or two. Even five could be defended. But this is just abuse. Most of the names on that block list were manimal. stands to reason SittingKetchup was also manimal. so getting blocked from all manimal accounts seems right.

we shall let cc decide right... by the way manimals supposed to be block from a bunch of cc player but keeps finding away in somehow... so whos fault is that... mr.moody do you go out of your way to find something you can argue with me about... just wondering cuz you sure do try alot...

Thirty five games is a lot to play against an obviously unwilling combatant. I know CC has never come down on players who benefit from throwing games, but this would be a good opportunity to see the rule in action.

what i honestly think cc should do is take all points away from all players that play this sittenketchup and try to find away to keep manimal off the site... somehow it has to happen this is not the 1st time he has done this to CC players...

I can't think of any way to keep him from making new accounts and throwing the points away, aside from discouraging players from taking those points (or by NOT GIVING POINTS FOR NEW RECRUIT DEADBEATS, but that idea was never looked at)

Have we had words before? I recall we both were members of TUC. If you believe the slanderous accusations made by xruan and t-o-m when i left TUC I could understand this. I'll answer any questions you have on that subject in pm if you like. We only played 3 games together and I find nothing in game chat. I can't see any reason you would feel this way.

Thinking outside the box...why don't the admins create a extra parameter when you create game so a member can't join open games if they are already playing X amount of games with the person.

Dude, it's customer service 101. Since Night Strike is acting as a representative of CC and contacting the disgruntled member, without mentioning that he has no control over the situation, the etiquette would be for him to apologize on behalf of CC and promise to help bring a swift solution.

While I see your perspective Optimus Prime, Iliad is right. It is rude and abrasive to be told "be patient" in such a brusque manner when the customer wants a response, and 99 percent of the time just wants to be told by a representative that the representative understands and wants to provide the customer with a quick answer, even if that representative is unable to do so. It instills confidence.

It is completely unprofessional and condescending to say "be patient". It communicates that the representative has an NMP attitude (Not My Problem -- the mantra of the bureaucrat). Now, I happen to be familiar with Night Strike's style of posting and communication, and I know to expect him to be rude and abrasive, as he pretty much always is. So, if I were told this, I would just put it down to NIght Strike being himself and let it slide. But I can't speak for anyone else. Honestly, I don't think it should have been phrased the way it was, and Night Strike ought to be more careful with his language when acting as a representative of CC in the future, but it's really nothing to get all worked up over. Just something to pay attention to.

However, maybe we should keep a record of all the awkwardly and slightly mean examples of times when mods post. Since they do it to us, remember. They keep a record of every single time you might have been a bit rude and abrasive, and then use that against you. Oh, and also, it's *manimal's fault is a terrible excuse, and an irresponsible way to "pass the buck". Another customer service 101 failure. Don't just pass the buck, it destroys customer confidence.

I'm not trying to be confrontational here, I'm just pointing out what is. It'd be nice to see the mods take criticism and actually do something with it, but I get the feeling I'm just going to get an angry PM about this post. Which would only further underscore the initial criticism. We have to take criticism from the mods, and apply it, under penalty of getting banned. There is no such check or balance upon them, nor should there be (it would lead to mob rule), but there is a standard of conduct they ought to strictly observe. Just like officers in the military. Just like executives in a corporation. With great power comes great responsibility, and all that jazz.

I will make this very clear: do not post any more flames or flame baits or you will be getting a PM warning. That goes for everyone in this thread. If you want to flame someone, go to flame wars. This situation will be looked at by the admin, so please be patient while they investigate the evidence presented. Also, just to be clear, the mods did not have anything to do with the cause of this situation: we do not know what happened, why it happened, or how it happened. Neither can the mods do anything to resolve this situation, this must be done by an admin.

I'm sorry Iliad, but you're completely wrong. NS is not a customer service representative. His job has nothing to do with the game or the site itself. A mod's job only has to do with keeping the forums under control; in fact his job is to keep the tournaments section of the forum running smoothly. Posting here in regards to a mistake in the website workings was totally beyond his responsibilities.

The shop in your first analogy actually has something to do with the product... they sold you that product, and it makes sense for them to apologize to you for selling a faulty product. NS had nothing to do with the product, at all. The customer service representative's job is to deal with problems... and still they're more likely to tell you that [company] apologizes, than apologize personally. Dealing with costumer problems is not part of NS's job, and he has no grounds with which to apologize on CC's behalf.

Right, but NS put himself in the position of a customer service rep when he decided to reply on this forum. Since he was speaking for Conquer Club in regards to what the customer should do, he took on the role as customer service rep for the time in which he was acting in that capacity. This isn't a very difficult concept to grasp, nor is it worth bickering about in this thread.

I actually like Night Strike. In some ways, he reminds me of myself (especially when he is being blunt). However, I do think he performed poorly as a customer service rep, and even though an apology is unnecessary it helps the "medicine" go down. In the end though, I think it's foolish to zero in on only the idea of "the apology". What is more important is the "big picture" of the attitude. And that's what I was trying to highlight, the NMP attitude. If a mod is going to act as a representative for Conquer Club, and post in a thread in a field in which he/she does not focus, then they are making the issue their problem, and should post accordingly. But that's me. If I were a mod, that's how I'd behave. The mods I respect, well, that's how they behave.

So really, this shouldn't be an occasion to chastise Night Strike, but a moment for us all to reflect on the civility of public discourse (or lack thereof) and all make concerted efforts to be more professional and friendly, since, after all, that is what the mods punish us for not doing, and it really helps the bitter pill of discipline go down when the establishment dishing it out is one that holds itself to the same standard.

Also, the OP should just be patient and file an e-ticket.

I don't see what Night Strike did that was wrong. The bust was made and it would be natural that the concerned parties defend their case, and sometimes, in the heat of the moment.

With respect to those accounts mentioned by the TS, most of those accounts were already inactivated even before the bust. As what Night Strike said, he has notified the admins to clear things up.

If Night Strike didn't apologize to the TS, that's because he was not really sure of what has happened behind it nor has the proper tools to check. Customer service personnel do also transfer customers if the case is already way beyond their scope.

What if the bust was correct all along? Would he then, apologize to the team for immediately believing the TS and the people supporting the TS? He gave some sound advise and told that the admin has been informed about the case. Not every post that you read is as simple and as blatant as you see in the forum.
