CCPL Matchday 10
TRC (panc) 1 v 1 Norfolk and Chance(ice)
Emo United(sam) v Down Under United(iliad)
Redcar Royals (cena) v Thunder Hawks(amino)
Red Stick Cajuns (lsu) v TWAT(lozz)

Game 2
Emo United(sam) v Down Under United(iliad)

Neither side have been playing great of late. DDU have lost some ground on the title race and are desperately in need of a win today to keep their title hopes alive. Emo United have picked up just 1 point in their last 4, which has seen them drop from 1 point behind the leaders to 1 point ahead of the relegation zone. Both sides desperately need a win but that can only happen for one team.

Teams
Emo United (sam levi)
1. James 37, Excellent
2. Cannavaro, 35, World Class
3. Lahm, 24 Excellent
4. Elano 26, Excellent
5. Fabregas, 20, World Class
6. Rosicky, 27, World Class
7. Torres, 24, World Class
8. Todd 33, Good
9. Mendes 29, Very Good
10. Walcott, 19, Excellent

Down Under United (illy)
1. Hart 20, Very Good
2. Vidic 26, Excellent
3. Agger 23, Excellent
4. Xavi, 28 World Class
5. Lampard, 29, World Class
6 .Arshavin, 27 World Class
7. Drogba, 30, World Class
8. Yobo 27, Very Good
9. K. Miller, 28, Very Good
10. A. Young 22, Very Good

Match Report:
From the very fist minute Down Under United took control. Emo United looked very lacklustre, and it was all too easy for DDU. On 11 minutes Lampard made a surging run through the middle of the park, he then played a through pass to Arshavin who squared the ball across the face of goal. Drogba shot away from the keeper, the shot took a nick of the sliding Cannavaro, and smacked off the post. Lahm clears it, good defending from Emo.

Emo then started to come back a little but it was still DDU who were the dominant force. This was shown on 23 minutes after a decent move from DDU. Xavi played it to Lampard who turned Elano before playing a deep cross into the box. Drogba got up well and headed it down for Arshavin who got in front of his marker and half-volleyed it into the goal. Emo United 0-1 Down Under United

DDU took the foot of the pedal a little but Emo failed to capitalise on it, they were looking pretty poor and it wasn’t until the 41st minute until they really troubled the DDU defence. Torres won the ball inside his opponents half, he then played the ball inside to Fabregas who in turn passed it forward to Elano. The Brazilian star spotted Torres making a run and whipped a ball across. Torres controlled it and smashed a shot goal-ward. It spun away from Hart but away from the goal also as it went wide.

The second half improved a little with both sides looking more dangerous. It was fairly even but DDU looked to be the more inventive. A good pass forward from Xavi was headed on strongly from Drogba and Arshavin burst through the middle to collect it. He surged on driving the Emo United defence back towards their own goal, before sliding a brilliant pass through for Lampard who struck it first time. James dived to his bottom corner and knocked it by the post.

On 64 minutes Emo United got the chance to pull level. Lahm came forward on the overlap and received a pass from Rosicky. He ran down the wing and sprinted past Agger, he cut inside the box and chipped a ball to the back post. No one picked up Elano at the back post, so he had a free header. There wasn’t much pace on the ball but he managed to get a decent header away only for Hart to tip it over the bar.

In the last 25 minutes neither side really did much and seemed to lack hunger for more, Emo United have been poor in recent weeks and DDU were happy with things at 1-0. With just secondss remaining the last chance of the game came. Xavi played a poor pass that went way off target, Lahm picked up the ball and looked for a pass. He took far too long to decide on which way to play it by which time Drogba had caught him up and tackled him. Drogba shrugged off the challenge and smashed a shot, it went well wide and well over, a very poor effort.

Emo United 0-1 Down Under United
-------------------Arshavin 23

I was thinking of adding some sort of "momentum factor" that takes into account your previous results, but I never did. The funny thing is this momentum factor does actually exist, only in your choices of training, you and cena are the perfect examples. Cena had very little intrest and you had a lot, cena started doing well and you went the other way. Soon enough cena was intrested you were barely intrested at all, so you paid less atention and your results continued getting worse i.e. the momentum factor.

As for what order you play in it was completely random until around the last 3 or 4 games when its (meant to be) done evenly, although amino does seem to be 3rd rather a lot.

Im still itching to change the program, some of its flaws are so easily fixed. others will require an extensive overhaul at the end of the season (if there is a second season).

Anyway ramble over, I should have the games finished by the end of the night.

CCPL Matchday 10
TRC (panc) 1 v 1 Norfolk and Chance(ice)
Emo United(sam) 0 v 1 Down Under United(iliad)
Redcar Royals (cena) v Thunder Hawks(amino)
Red Stick Cajuns (lsu) v TWAT(lozz)

Game 3
Redcar Royals (cena) v Thunder Hawks(amino)

Game 3 is a bottom of the table clash between Thunder Hawks and Redcar Royals. Both sides have looked revived of late especially RR who have the 3rd best record over the last 4 games picking up 8 out of their 9 points in that period. Another win today would lift them out of the relegation zone for the first time ever. If Thunder Hawks could finally manage their first win then it would see them draw level with RR and complete their revival.

Teams
Redcar Royals(cena)
1. Casillas 27, World Class
2. Senderos 23, Very Good
3. G. Neville 33, Very Good
4. Babel 21, Excellent
5. Robinho, 24, World Class
6. Downing, 23, Excellent
7. Aguero 20, World Class
8. Carr 31, Very Good
9. Joe Cole, 26, Excellent
10. Tevez, 24, Excellent

Thunder Hawks (animo)
1. Given 31, Excellent
2. R. Ferdinand 29, Excellent
3. Dawson 24, Excellent
4. A. Smith 27,Very Good
5. Pederson 26, Very Good
6. Denilson 20, Very Good
7. Villa 26, World Class
8. Mellberg, 30, Very Good
9. Agbonlahor, 21, Very Good
10. Viduka, 32, Very Good
11. Berbatov, 27, Excellent
12. Whitehead 26, Good
13. Sagna 25, Very Good

Match Report:
The game started in a very scrappy manner with lots of challenges flying in and both teams playing a lot of long balls. One such long ball led to the first major chance of the game, Alan Smith punted the ball 40 yards up the pitch and headed on by Pederson to Villa. Villa advanced looking for a pass, he picked one out and delivered a good chipped ball through. Denilson controlled it and went in one on one with Casillas, his shot was lame and easily saved by the Spanish keeper.

The game continued to descend into a brawl, and it wasn’t long before a red card was shown. Robinho spun past Ferdinand and advanced towards goal, when a two footed challenge came in from Dawson and he was duly sent off. This handed the initiative to Redcar who pushed forward in search of a goal. Robinho slid in Babel, Pederson attempted to tackle but the ball ricoched luckily back to Babel. Babel then fired in a powerful cross and Aguero just nudged it on at the front post. It came off the inside of the back post and Aguero failed to control the rebound.

As the game neared half time there was some controversy. Downing had already been booked for a poor challenge and he gave a small tug on Smith’s shirt, who fell to the ground like he had been shot. Downing received a second yellow card that was disputable as both sides’ numbers levelled up before half time, along with the score.

The second half calmed down a little and the football started to flow. Aguero came deep to collect the ball before spinning and advancing, he jogged forward until Ferdinand closed him down and he suddenly put had a turn of pace. He then shot from the edge of the area that was palmed away by Given but only as far as Babel. Babel controlled it and shot, with Given on the ground he had no chance, but the ball went way over anyway.

Thunder hawks managed to catch RR on the break on 69 minutes. Pederson made the tackle and played the ball long to Villa. Villa then ran at the Redcar defence and he had Denilson for company, as he entered the final third he passed it on to Denilson. Senderos lunged in with a sliding tackle but Denilson evaded it, he was in on goal and he tried to curl it past Casillas. The keeper matched it and sent it behind for a corner.

With each team down to 6 men they had to do a lot more running to cover the pitch as a result both teams tired towards the end, especially Thunder Hawks. This gave way for a chance for a winner for Redcar. Robinho found himself with acres of space 35 yards from goal he moved forward and when he was approached by Denilson he skipped past him and opened up space for a shopt. He struck it sweetly and it spun towards the top corner, Given dived at it, but failed to get a hand to it and it hit the top corner, of the bar and post. The game finished all square.

Redcar Royals 0-0 Thunder Hawks.

Icedagger keeps his team, you shouldn’t have said it was a guess lol. When I asked if you thought you had it sussed, I was like panicking and hoping to god you said no lol.

CCPL Matchday 10
TRC (panc) 1 v 1 Norfolk and Chance(ice)
Emo United(sam) 0 v 1 Down Under United(iliad)
Redcar Royals (cena) 0 v 0 Thunder Hawks(amino)
Red Stick Cajuns (lsu) v TWAT(lozz)

Game 4
Red Stick Cajuns (lsu) v TWAT(lozz)

With Norfolk and Chance slipping up earlier RSC have a chance to regain top spot. RSC have been very consistent this season winning 5 of their last 6 games were as TWAT have been anything but picking up just 2 points from their last 4 matches. This one may look straight forward on paper but you never know in the CCPL (unless your icedagger).

Teams:
Red Stick Cajuns (lsu)
1. Buffon, 30, World Class
2. Ashley Cole 27, Excellent
3. Clichy 22, Excellent
4. Quaresma, 24, World Class
5. Alonso, 26, Excellent
6. C. Ronaldo 23, Footballing God
7. D. Bent, 24, Excellent
8. Lucas 21, Very Good
9. Kranjcar 23, Good
10. Zarate, 21, Very Good
11. Huddlestone, 21, Good

TWAT (lozz)
1. Cech, 25, World Class
2. Gallas, 30, Excellent
3. Richards 19, Excellent
4. Anderson 20, Excellent
5. Lennon 20, Excellent
6. Ribery, 25 World Class
7. Messi 21, Footballing God
8. A. Ferdinand 23, Very Good
9. S. Larsson 22, Very Good
10. Adebayor, 24, World Class
11. icedagger, ??, Shite

Match Report:
TWAT started well putting Red Stick under some pressure early on. Ribery cut a pass inside to Anderson who played a nice ball towards Messi. Messi controlled the ball done a few lovely step-overs and curled a beautiful shot towards the far corner. Buffon sprung up and got a hand to it, but it wasn’t enough to keep the ball out. Red Stick Cajuns 0-1 The Weird Alterative Team.

TWAT continued to push forward and RSC couldn’t control Messi who was looking explosive. Red Stick, however, looked impressive in attack and despite TWAT’s improvements the still weren’t defending great. This lead to an opportunity for an equaliser on 27 minutes. Ronaldo easily went past Ribery and crossed into the box, Bent won the header which bounced before being saved well by Cech. The ball came back out to Bent who simply had to kick it into an empty net, which he did. Red Stick Cajuns 1-1 The Weird Alterative Team.

As half time approached the game was very even, and chances were coming for both sides. A poor pass from Gallas led to a chance for Red Stick. Quaresma intercepted the pass and streamed forward, he was forced out wide by the recovering Gallas. He tried to play a ball to Ronaldo at the back post but Gallas managed to half block it. The ball still managed to loop up and into the box where it fell for Bent who caught it first time on the volley. It flew past Cech and smashed into the net. Red Stick Cajuns 2-1 The Weird Alterative Team.

In the second half TWAT continued to apply pressure despite going a goal behind. Messi was again central to the move. Lennon passed it to Anderson who returned it back to him, Lennon then fed in Messi who twisted one way then the other to beat Ashley Cole. He moved into the box and when Buffon came out he tried to chip it over him, but the big keeper got a touch to it to send it for a corner. Lennon delivered the corner and Richards won the header, he powered it past Buffon and TWAT were level. Red Stick Cajuns 2-2 The Weird Alterative Team.

The game was becoming more interesting by the minute, as both sides looked a little vulnerable at the back. On 76 minutes Alonso played a pass in behind Richards who was slow to react. Ronaldo wasn’t and he fond himself with space he ran through on goal had just Cech to beat, he unselfishly laid it across for Quaresma who slotted it into the empty net. Red Stick Cajuns 3-2 The Weird Alterative Team.

TWAT pushed forward desperately trying to get back level. Anderson played a nice back heel to Ribery, who then chipped the ball wide for Lennon. Lennon faced Clichy on the edge of the box he tried to find a yard of space and crossed it. His cross was blocked by Clichy’s arm, it didn’t look deliberate but the ref is pointing to the spot! Messi, TWAT’s hero today, steps up and sends into to Buffon’s left, Buffon guesses right and makes a great save! This is a vital win for RSC.

Red Stick Cajuns 3-2 The Weird Alterative Team.
D. Bent 27, 41---------Messi 9
Quaresma 76----------Richards 52

League table up in a second. Its FA cup semi finals week so unfortunately only 4 of you are playing:

Red Stick Cajuns(lsu) v Transvestite Rodeo Clowns(panc)
Emo United(sam) v Down Under United(illy)

Despite their troubles will Emo United get to a major final? The masters of draws cant draw a cup game (It may go to penalties, not sure how to wrok that yet) Or will it be an expected RSC v DDU final?

Nope, no embarrasingly stupid comment here.

Hoping for some nice FA cup injuries anyway :D
