This is a legitimate gripe.
The way to remedy the situation is to give everyone on the team a piece of candy for winning and an extra for everyone left alive etc.
Whereas the losign team will just get the number of players they eliminated as a total amount.
For example.
If my team "platinum status" blows our opponents out before round 6 and kills one player before round 3, but we lose 2 of our guys then the totals will be:
+1 for winning
+1 for eliminating a player before round 3
+1 for winning before round 6
PER PERSON.
So our team total would be +12.
The losing team would get +2 (for killing two players)
This might be a little too much bonus for winning, but you should adjust the payout so that it is NEVER in your best interest to throw a game.
Alternatively you can just give the winning team +4 and then add the bonuses.
That way worst case, the losing team get +3 and the winnign team still gets +4, even if one guy just barely pulled it out.
That is probably the best.
