Normally I don't give a hoot about multi's.
Playing sequential + escalating games with 1 fort means they've not got much of a chance to ruin my games.

But it would seem that there are now 2 high ranking multi's under suspicion.

Multis are good for 1 of 2 things:
1. non premium players getting more than their 4 games from 1 account
2. bumping up your score of 1 main account.

The rules of being caught are some what grey & I propose that Lack adds a sticky to this thread outlining what happens if someone is caught.

Also - Another cause of a recent row I got involved with was playing in a game (singles) which included 2 players who were regular teammates in doubles. This matter is now closed.
However
I understand how a player will avoid attacking a regular teammate. I have recently played a singles game with general mayhem and when I had a choice of attacking siberia (Mayhem with 2 on) or ural (Philbert with 2 on) from China - I found myself attacking Philbert.

Is there any way that a player who you have played lots of games with as a doubles / triples partner isn't able to join you in a game of singles unless all other players agree to it?

i'm with Pedronicus on the first point. it would be nice if we all knew what happens to cheaters--this would reassure multi-victims of CC's watchfulness, and hopefully dissuade the cheaters from their nefarious ways.

is there a way that we can make the penalties REALLY harsh? like lifetime bans after 2 or 3 offenses? i don't know

Only so much they can do, I wont play people who play from school or work, what stops them from setting up two accounts(I work from home),I'd watch players who deadbeat on weekends, holidays(see who they play a lot).. but only so much the Admin can do...Best thing to do is avoid players suspected of cheating. Hey innocent or not...I've been burned by multis...

That's cool and all, I just thought it would be nice to have a big sticky sign posted at the top of the cheating and abuse forum, warning those who would cheat and affirming moderator vigilance. I think Pedro's point is that a more conspicuous entry on punishment might do some good, certainly more good that something stuck back where no one will see it.

The site's great, i love you all, except cheaters, they can burn in hell.

We were starting to have too many stickies at the top of the forums, so now you'll notice a more streamlined sticky look. People have proven they don't really notice stickies anyway... i.e. people who don't use the forms or search the to-do list.

Rest assured cheaters are punished, up to and including permanent bans.

I'm just totally fucked off with people cheating on a site where theres no monetary gain to be made from it.
I've tried to get up the leaderboard by avoiding all the usual shit employed in the past by all these cheats.
first there was dead beating games where you didn't get a good set up and lose no points - stopped now
Then theres the old favourite of setting up 50 odd doubles games (all at once) with a known good partner in the public games and expect the regular amount of noobs to make the overall score + after 50 games.
Now there's Premium multi accounts not getting banned for cheating.

On top of that;
I've lost my job.
The dice are screwing me over.
& Wicked gives me some f*ck off response to something thats not saying; how fucking terrific the stache are or the Sumatra / bruni border doesnt work on world 2.0

It had better snow for a change, in London on Christmas Day - Because thats for free....

I heard it was really foggy in London today and they had to shut down 1/2 the flights out of Heathrow.

Rest assured, something IS being done about those players. When you see "pending" on an accusation, that means it's, well, pending. Right now, only Andy is the only one handling the forum accusation posts until the multi hunters clear out the backlog.
