Is my injured player back because from what I understood he was out for only one game?

CCPL Matchday 10
TRC (panc) v Norfolk and Chance(ice)
Emo United(sam) v Down Under United(iliad)
Redcar Royals (cena) v Thunder Hawks(amino)
Red Stick Cajuns (lsu) v TWAT(lozz)

Game 1
TRC (panc) v Norfolk and Chance(ice)

After regaining their spot at the top of the league Norfolk will be looking to keep their place with a victory over TRC. That however, will be no easy task. Since panc took over at TRC they have not yet lost, including draws against title contenders DDU and Red Stick and a victory over TH. Can they complete a treble of draws against the top 3, will they go one better or will they lose ground in the race for “the best of the rest.”

Teams
TRC (panc)
1. Freidel, 36, Excellent
2. Terry, 27, World Class
3. Carragher 30, Excellent
4. Barnes 19, Excellent
5. Flamini 24, Excellent
6. Deco, 31 World Class
7. Shevchenko, 31, Excellent
8. Hutton 23, Excellent
9. Hargreaves, 27, Excellent
10. Van Nistilrooy, 32, World class

Norfolk and Chance (ice)
1. Van der sar, 37, World Class
2. Toure, 27, Excellent
3. Puyol, 30 World Class
4. Nani 21, Excellent
5 .Pirlo , 29 World Class
6. Gerrard, 27, World Class
7. Rooney, 22, World Class
8. Finnan 31, Excellent
9. Mascherano, 23, Excellent
10. Eduardo, 25, Excellent

Match Report:
The game started pretty slowly, with Norfolk and Chance controlling play and not really doing much with it, until the 23rd minute when they did manage to create something. Gerrard played Nani down the wing, Nani did a step over and twisted past Terry, he played a low cross that was met by Rooney. His volley flew off of his boot and but was palmed solidly away by Freidel.

TR Clowns defended solidly and didn’t allow Norfolk and Chance too many chances, but in attack they seemed to be lacking a bit of quality. It took till the 31st minute until they managed their first shot on target. A long ball from Barnes was headed away by Toure but only as far as Deco. Deco took the ball round Pirlo and then shot from 30 yards out. His shot was heading for the top corner, and it took a great diving save from Van Der Sar to stop it going there.

As half time approached, Norfolk started to lift their game, with some nice moves. Pirlo passed to Rooney who trapped the ball before sending it in behind the TRC defence to Gerrard who had burst forward from midfield. He advanced through on goal and shot towards the far corner, Freidel couldn’t get there as the ball smashed the back of the net. Transvestite Rodeo Clowns 0-1 Norfolk and Chance. Replays showed that Gerrard’s run was a little to early and it was in fact offside but the goal stands.

The second half continued in a similar manner with Norfolk looking good for their lead. Pirlo advanced through the field trying to pick out a pass; he spotted Gerrard in space and played the ball into his feet. Gerrard played a first time lay off for Nani who then slid in Rooney. Rooney bore down in goal and knocked the ball round Freidel. He had an open goal but a phenomenal sliding challenge from Terry denied him his 9th league goal.

As time went on TR Clowns started to edge their way back into the match and as the match entered the final 20 minutes they became completely in control. Deco picked the ball up on the edge of the centre circle and played it down the wing for Barnes, who lumped a cross into the box. Shevchenko and Puyol went up for the header, and it was Shevchenko who won the battle. He headed the ball to van Der Sar’s right leaving him stranded. Shevchenko has only his third goal this season. Transvestite Rodeo Clowns 1-1 Norfolk and Chance.

As they game neared conclusion it was TRC who had most of the play, however the final chance of the game fell to their opponents. A poor pass from Flamini gave the ball away to Pirlo. The Italian midfielder played a magnificent 35 yard pass along the ground to Rooney. Rooney knocked the ball in front of himself and chased it down, Terry came in for the challenge but this time Rooney had the better of him cutting past Terry. Rooney shot ferociously, the ball went zooming well over the bar, what a waste!

Transvestite Rodeo Clowns
1-1 Norfolk and Chance.
Shevchenko 71--------------------Gerrard 44
