Three last minute negotiations have occurred!

Transfer News
Cassilas (500 + Jaaskalinen(200)- cena end of window

In the last few minutes Redcar Royals managed to seel the purchase of Iker Cassilas. The spanish goalkeeper moved in one of the most expensive moves of the winter market with a deal of 500 points + Jaaskalinen. RR said in a staement that they were glad for the service they recieved from Jaaskalinen but seen this as an opportunity to move forward.

Buffon (200 + Reina (280) + Hibbert(150))- lsu (end of window) total - 630

Another world class keeper as moved to Red Stick, in the form of Buffon. On the way out was Reina and Hibbert as RSC attempt to strengthen their squad in prepaeration for the second half of the season. They currently lie in 2nd place and the purchase of Buffon is an attmept to improve their defence and push on to take top spot.

Van Nistelrooy (230 +McFadden(280)- pcmx (end of window)

Pancakemix has today made one of his biggest signings as boss of TRC in the form of Ruud van Nistelrooy, the dutch striker is well known for his finishing abilities and will add much to the teams attack. The fans seem delighted with their new manager and his signings so far, the question is with so many teams changed through the window, is the optimism well founded?

Squads and training for next game please, make sure you send squads or some of your new signings may be left on the bench.

p.s Fixtures:

Game 8:
Emo United(sam) v TWAT(lozz) (0-0)
Thunder Hawks(amino) v Down Under United(iliad) (0 v 2)
Redcar Royals (cena) v TRC (panc) (0-1)
Norfolk and Chance(ice) v Red Stick Cajuns (lsu) (1-1)
Predictions:
Emo 2 TWat 1
Thunder hawks:0 DUU: 2
RR: 1 TRC 2
Norfolk 3 RSC 2

I guess ffs, couldn't you have just picked one yourself? It would have saved any bother. That goes for everyone, work out your own shit from now on.

When are games?

When sam sends in his training and when amino finally submits "legal" training.

Ok i have finally got everyones training. When I put in the scores I wanted to see the effect of the new transfers, but while having a close look I noticed their was a bit of my program screwed up. It means that some recent matches have relied on what I would consider trivial differences in training. The problem is, if I change it now it may change how effective your training is, so I'm not sure whether to fix the problem or just keep going with this fault which has kind of made some of the game...

if that "bug" has been there all season then let it go and deal with it in the offseason. shouldn't change methods halfway thru the game.

Don't change the program, especially if it has been like this the entire season. We've worked our way around it.

CCPL Matchday 8

Game 8:
Emo United(sam) v TWAT(lozz)
Thunder Hawks(amino) v Down Under United(iliad)
Redcar Royals (cena) v TRC (jr)
Norfolk and Chance(ice) v Red Stick Cajuns (lsu)

Game 1
Emo United(sam) v TWAT(lozz)

The season restarts with an interesting match up with two recently declining sides facing off, if either side was to lose then they would surely lose all hope in the title race but a win would seem a big step in the right direction. An all new Emo defence will be tested thoroughly by new TWAT striker Lionel Messi and new winger Ribery.

Teams:
Emo United (sam levi)
1. James 37, Excellent
2. Cannavaro, 35, World Class
3. Lahm, 24 Excellent
4. Elano 26, Excellent
5. Fabregas, 20, World Class
6. Rosicky, 27, World Class
7. Torres, 24, World Class
8. Todd 33, Good
9. Mendes 29, Very Good
10. Walcott, 19, Excellent

TWAT (lozz)
1. Cech, 25, World Class
2. Gallas, 30, Excellent
3. Richards 19, Excellent
4. S. Larsson 22, Very Good
5. Lennon 20, Excellent
6. Ribery, 25 World Class
7. Messi 21, Footballing God
8. A. Ferdinand 23, Very Good
9. Anderson 20, Excellent
10. Adebayor, 24, World Class
11. icedagger, ??, Shite

Match Report:
The game started off with a chance being created for Emo United. Elano knocked a ball through and Torres ran onto it. Richards came in for the tackle but Torres just powered through him before shooting low and hard. Cech dived down to his right and tipped it round the post. The resulting corner was taken by Elano and swung into the back post, Cannavaro out-muscled Larsson to get his head on it. It fired towards goal but was easily caught by Cech.

The game was being played at a reasonable pace with TWAT having most of the play, they were finally rewarded with a chance on 28 minutes. Ribery, on his debut burst down the left wing and slid the ball into Messi’s feet. Messi spun past Cannavaro before laying it off to Larsson on the edge of the box, and he struck it first time. The ball rocketed past James but went just over the bar.

Emo United seemed to have little appetite for the game and they allowed TWAT to control much of the game. 5 minutes before half time TWAT managed to open up Emo once more. Messi collected the ball 30 yards from goal he played a one two with Lennon before sprinting on at the Emo defence he skipped past Cannavaro and bore down on James. He smashed his shot and it was deflected, the ball flew up in the air and bounced just before the goal and went wide. Lahm made a great block there.

In the second half Emo picked it up a little and managed to create another opportunity. Fabregas played a long ball out wide to Elano who controlled it beautifully. Elano done a step over before skipping past Lennon, he then played the ball into the box along the ground where Torres met it with a first time shot. His effort was saved easily by Cech, a poor effort by his standards.

The game was fairly even with TWAT looking the marginally more adventurous side. On 68 minutes lozzini’s team managed to put together one of the best moves of the match. Lennon cut inside and played the ball into Messi’s feet, the Argentinean let the ball run through his legs and onto Ribery. Ribery then slipped a nicely weighted pass through for Larsson who took a touch before curling the ball past James, only for it to sneak wide.

As the Emo fans headed for the exits they managed to muster one last chance. Torres ran through the heart of the TWAT defence he pushed past Lahm and knocked it round Cannavaro. He was clear and he sprinted through towards goal, Cech rushed off of his line and Torres lifted it brilliantly over the top of him, the ball looked to be heading goal wards but bounced back off of the bar and was cleared away.

Emo United 0-0 The Weird Alternative Team.

CCPL Matchday 8, Late kick off.

It appears that the match between DDU and TH has been delayed due to ilaid's team not appearing for kick off the game will now be delayed till after match 4.

iliad's training only added up to 495, still he was much closer than amino was first time ;) (and the second, third and fourth times too.)

CCPL Matchday 8

Emo United(sam) 0 v 0 TWAT(lozz)
Thunder Hawks(amino) P-P Down Under United(iliad)
Redcar Royals (cena) v TRC (panc)
Norfolk and Chance(ice) v Red Stick Cajuns (lsu)

Game 3
Redcar Royals (cena) v TRC (panc)

Today’s third game sees the two revived sides take each other on. A few games back things were looking bleak for both sides but a new manager at TRC and a transformed RR team sees them both move up the table. For Redcar however, they need to get more points on the board to try and clear themselves of the relegation zone and TRC are still a long way behind the leaders.

Teams:
Redcar Royals(cena)
1. Casillas 27, World Class
2. Senderos 23, Very Good
3. G. Neville 33, Very Good
4. Babel 21, Excellent
5. Robinho, 24, World Class
6. Downing, 23, Excellent
7. Aguero 20, World Class
8. Carr 31, Very Good
9. Joe Cole, 26, Excellent
10. Tevez, 24, Excellent

TRC (panc)
1. Freidel, 36, Excellent
2. Terry, 27, World Class
3. Carragher 30, Excellent
4. Barnes 19, Excellent
5. Flamini 24, Excellent
6. Deco, 31 World Class
7. Van Nistilrooy, 32, World class
8. Hutton 23, Excellent
9. Hargreaves, 27, Excellent
10. Shevchenko, 31, Excellent

Match Report:
The game started off at a fairly high tempo and there was an early chance for TR Clowns. Barnes made a run down the wing and managed to gain half a yard on Babel before crossing into the box. Van Nistilrooy out-muscled Senderos before sending his header down into the ground, it bounced just before Casillas, but the Spaniard made an excellent save deny him a debut goal.

TRC started to take the game on and RR looked a little shaky in defence. Deco skilfully flicked the ball past Neville before sending Flamini through. Flamini then slid the ball across the face of the box and Van Nistilrooy struck it with the inside of his foot first time, this time it curled past Casillas an into the net. Redcar Royals 0-1 Transvestite Rodeo Clowns.

The goal spurred Redcar into action and Robinho stared to look inspirational, he picked out Downing with a beautiful pass which left him in a decent position. Downing controlled the ball well before striking it goal wards. Freidel palmed it away but only as far as Aguero who struck it first time only to see his shot go well wide.

In the second half Redcar continued to press on and TR Clowns tried to fend them off as best they could. On 53 minutes they found themselves fighting to hold their lead. Babel played the ball in for Robinho who dummied a pass before turning the other way. He ran at Carragher and beat him before taking a shot himself, it flew past Friedel but rebounded off thepost Aguero picked it up again, surelythis time! But no! Terry makes an incredible tackle and keeps TRC in the lead.

RR continued to press and with 16 minutes remaining they got another chance. Aguero picked the ball up wide and played a one-two with Babel that took him inside the box, he fired the ball across the face of the goal and Robinho stretched out a leg. The Brazilian knocked the ball into the bottom corner and RR are level, it has been coming for a long time. Redcar Royals 1-1 Transvestite Rodeo Clowns.

TRC then livened up and went in search of the winner; with just minutes remaining they got a good opportunity to do so. A long ball from Terry was headed down by Van Nistilrooy to Deco. Deco controlled it and then spread it out wide to Barnes, the cross was fired in towards Van Niselrooy but it was too far in front of him. Flamini, however came in at the back post and chested it down. He caught it on the half-volley that hit the net, the side of the net that is. A close game and it finishes 1-1.

Redcar Royals 1-1 Transvestite Rodeo Clowns.
