Before last week this game would look straight forward, Norfolk and Chance would be expected to walk it, but after an impressive win over Emo United last week Redcar Royals showed anything is possible. Top of the league and unbeaten Norfolk and Chance will still be heavy favourites and will be looking to go into the midseason break still at the top of the table.

Match Report

The match started off at high speed and in dramatic fashion. Norfolk and Chance went on the attack straight from kick off, Nani burst down the wing skipping past Carr and firing a ball across the face of goal. Rooney went in for the header but missed it by inches, the ball fell to Babel who booted the ball clear. Toure miss-timed his header and the ball bounced onwards with Tevez running on to control it. He played through Joe Cole on the left wing who was brought down by Makelele. Tevez swung the free-kick into the box and Senderos got his head on it to see it fire into the back of the net, is another shock on the cards? Redcar Royals 1-0 Norfolk and Chance.

Icedagger was furious with his players and screamed for his players to push forward to get an immediate response. As they pushed forward again they lost possession when Gerrard’s cross was caught by Jaaskalinen. The keeper punted the ball up field but this time Toure won the header, only for it to fall to Downing. Downing pushed on holding off challenges from Finnan and Makelele before slipping the ball through for Tevez on the edge of the box. With his first touch Tevez knocked the ball through Toure’s legs and with his second he rattled a shot past Almunia and into the top corner, Cena goes nuts on the touchline his side are 2-0 up against the league leaders!! Redcar Royals 2-0 Norfolk and Chance.

The rest of the half continued in a similar manner with Norfolk and Chance pushing forward and creating the odd opportunity but a new and rejuvenated RR hitting them well on the break. % minutes before half time Norfolk and Chance managed to create a clear cut chance. Gerrard played the ball into the feet of Rooney who laid it of for Nani, Nani then played a first time cross into the box which Makelele chested past Carr and shot goalwards. Jaasklainen dived and was equal to it, but he could only send in Rooney’s direction, and it was tapped into the net, Norfolk are right back in this. Redcar Royals 2-1 Norfolk and Chance.

The second half started in a similar way to the first and the game was a fascinating one to watch. This time it was Redcar that pushed forward only to lose possession at the vital moment, they had a 2v1 situation against Finnan but Finnan came out on top intercepting a poor pass from Babel. It was then passed to Makelele who played it through for Gerrard who in turn passed to Rooney. Rooney played the ball out wide to Nani whos cross went deep in on Jaaskalinen, the Redcar goalie jumped up to catch it but let it slip through his hands and into the net, the silly mistake allows Norfolk back level. Redcar Royals 2-2 Norfolk and Chance.

The pulsating game took another twist on 63 minutes when Norfolk and Chance’s star player Rooney went down injured, he will be out for a week or so but will not miss any matches due to the midseason break. Eduardo came on as a substitute for him. From the resulting free-kick Gerrard played it short down the wing to Eduardo who cut inside and skinned Carr he shot from an awkward angle but it was blocked by Cole. The ball flew up in the air and Gerrard got up well and headed it back towards goal, Makelele caught his header on the half volley and the net bulged once more, what an unbelievable comeback. Redcar Royals 2-3 Norfolk and Chance.

Redcar failed to give in and pushed on to try and draw level once more. However they would have to wait until the 79 minute to get a chance to do so. Carr cleared the ball right up into the corner where a race in sued between Tevez and Finnan they got their roughly at the same time and the ball ricocheted out for a corner. The corner was delivered poorly by Cole and was easily cleared by Gerrard. However the ball only went as far as Downing who struck it first time on the volley, the ball sailed through the air and the open arms of Almunia, it dropped into the back of the net and this amazing game swings back towards Redcar. Redcar Royals 3-3 Norfolk and Chance.

In the 85 minute the chance for a winner came. Makelele played a one-tow with Gerrard and then played a ball in behind the Redcar Royal defence, substitute Eduardo ran onto it and came through one-on-one with Jaaskalinen. He hit the ball low and hard, Jaaskalinen dived out of the way but managed to stick out a foot to stop it from going in. The ball fell safely to Carr who booted it away, but it smacked off Eduardo and into the goal, Norfolk win it late and they needed a bit of luck too. Redcar Royals 3-4 Norfolk and Chance.

Redcar Royals 3 v 4 Norfolk and Chance.
Senderos 2-----------Rooney 40
Tevez 6---------------Nani 50
Downing 79-----------Makelele 64
------------------------Eduardo 85

What a game! And so close too.

7. Drogba, 30, World Class
8. Yobo 27, Very Good
9. Malbranque, 28, Very Good
10. K. Miller, 28, Very Good

Both teams will be desperate for a win today as TWAT haven’t won in 2 league games and DDU haven’t won in three league games leaving both trailing behind leaders Norfolk. A loss for either side will see them fall further behind in the title race and the half way stage and things became rather heated before the two sides even before kick-off when DDU manager iliad said “And now I'm playing against the team that I beat 5-1. And the team that made me play without (Didier) drogba and (frank) lampard. Boy do I want to see this.”

Match Report
The game started off with both teams passing it around, there wasn’t many chances to be found in the first 20 minutes however due to good defending. Most of the chances fell to DDU who were looking to push forward at every given opportunity. There first real chance arose on 23 minutes when Young slipped the ball through for Lampard. Lampard raced past Richards and through into the box and drilled a shot low but it was easily saved by Cech.

DDU managed to create another chance10 minutes later as they started to take control of the game. Drogba picked the ball up 30 yards out and had acres of space, Giggs was out wide to the left and Young out to his right he moved forward until he drew Richards towards him; before passing it out wide to Giggs. Giggs chipped it back first time and Drogba brought it down and smashed it towards goal, his shot went past Cech and hit the post, before hitting the back of the net. The Weird Alternative Team 0 v 1 Down Under United.

TWAT finally managed to create a major chance of their own just 3 minutes before half time, Anderson started the move with s lovely flick past Lampard, he then played a short pass to Larsson who passed it forward to Adebayor. The Togo striker opened up a yard of space and hit a shot from the edge of the box; it was flying towards the top corner, past Hart but it curled off to the side just before the goal.

After half time DDU continued to control the game, largely playing it in the TWAT half but they seemed to lack the final shot and try to walk the ball into the net. They received a big blow on 53 minutes ag Giggs broke his ankle turning awkwardly and will be out for 6 weeks missing the next 4 games. Malbranque came on as a sub for him.

After the loss of Giggs Down Under seemed to lose there momentum a little and it allowed TWAT to create a few more chances. Aaron lennon burst down the right wing and swung a great cross into the back post, Anderson was there to meet it and he headed it back across the goal. Adebayor was just five yards out with a simple header, and he connected well, only for Vidic to clear I off the line.

Lozzini’s team refused to give in and pushed on with only a few minutes remaining. Adebayor ran at Agger and knocked it through his legs but it rolled too far and Vidic cleared it long up the pitch Drogba collected the clearance and ran past Gallas to find himself one on one with Cech, he aimed for the top corner and Cech dived for it, his fingertips knocked the ball wide. Drogba failed to wrap the game up but DDU still went on to record their first win in 3 games.

7. Torres, 24, World Class
8. Todd 33, Good
9. Mendes 29, Very Good
10. Walcott, 19, Excellent

After a disappointing loss to Redcar last week, Emo United will be desperate to bounce back against Red Stick Cajuns. A win will see them keep in touch with the leaders but a loss would see them drop 7 points behind at the half way stage. For RSC it is a chance to rid of one of their fellow title contenders, if they managed a win it would see 3 clear contenders open for the title where as a loss would see Emo United level with them on points.

Match Report

At the start of the game Emo United a decent amount of possession but failed to really do anything with it, on the other hand RSC managed an opening with their very first move of the game. Alonso played the ball into the feet of Bent who laid it off for Ronaldo, who knocked the ball forward into the box before dummying his shot to deceive James and then hitting the ball into the open net to take an early lead. Red Stick Cajuns 1-0 Emo United

Emo United responded by taking yet more possession but yet again lacking a final pass, a good run or getting the shot away. Their first real chance came on 24 minutes when they got a free-kick on the edge of the box. Elano swung it into the box and Stubbs got his head to it, it was headed goal bound but Reina pulled off a decent save to deny them an equaliser.

After just half an hour it seemed like Emo had ran out of ideas resorting to long shots and Hollywood passes. However a few minutes before half time they had Reina scrambling, Torres picked the ball up 40 yards out and pushed his way past Ashley Cole with ease before firing off a lethal shot which narrowly passed by the post.

Just after half time RSC started to get the passes going themselves and moving forward and all the time they looked more dangerous than Emo United. Alonso played a pinpoint pass forward to Bent who controlled it well, he spotted Ronaldo making a run to the back post and chipped it in. Ronaldo ran on to it and headed it down into the ground, it beat James but not the post and it was easily cleared by Neill.

On 66 minutes Emo United had a chance to draw level. Fabregas clipped the ball over Alonso’s leg before playing it to Rosicky, the Czech international then slipped a ball through for Torres who struck it first time it flew past Reina and into the goal. Red Stick Cajuns 1-1 Emo United.

9 minutes later their was a chance at the other end. Ronaldo played a cross field ball to Lucas, who set off down the wing, as Neill came in for the challenge he played a square ball to Alonso. Alonso found himself in acres of space and proceeded to move forward, when RSC failed to close him down he had a shot from 25 yards. It went full pelt towards James, the England keeper looked equal to it but it swerved at the last minute and all he could do was palm it into the net. Red Stick Cajuns 2-1 Emo United.

Emo United pressed for a late equaliser and got their chance in injury time. Elano flew past Lucas before swinging a ball to the back post where Torres met it with a header, it looked to be an equaliser, but Reina made a great save to send it behind for a corner. Elano swung it in again and this time Rosicky got his head on it but once again it was saved. This time however it fell to Stubbs who thumped it over the bar from 4 yards out, what a miss!

Red Stick Cajuns 2 v 1 Emo United
Ronaldo 11--------------Torres 66
Alonso 75

The final game of the first half of the season sees bottom of the league Thunder Hawks take on TR Clowns who got off to a decent start under their new manager with a draw against high flying DDU away from home. TH have so far only scored two goals and have yet to win a game and amino will be desperate to lift themselves off of the bottom of the league. TRC would move up to 4th place with a win, their highest place since week 3.

Match Report

The game began with some abysmal play from Thunder Hawks. They couldn’t complete a pass, run or tackle and it was far too easy for TRC to walk straight through them. This was the case on 13 minutes when Hargreaves played a nicely weighted pass through to Barnes, who took on Sagna and beat him. He whipped a ball into the back post and Shevchenko headed it towards goal, Given stretched out his hand and tipped it by the post.

TR Clowns continued to control the game and pushed on in search of a goal. Yet again it was Hargreaves who started the move off, this time he played a one two with Flamini before sarting into the box. He faked a pass to Shevchenko and cut the ball back, he then rolled the ball off for the advancing Flamini who smashed his shot hard and high, it streaked past Given and hit the back of the net. Transvestite Rodeo Clowns 1-0 Thunder Hawks.

8 minutes before half time TH finally managed to conjure up a chance of there own after Friedel sliced his goal kick straight to Denilson. Denilson played it on to Berbatov who turned quickly and shot towards the top corner, Freidel redeemed himself with a good save just managing to tip it over the bar.

In the second half there was more of the same, Thunder Hawks were playing boring, poor and unsuccessful football while TRC strolled it without really being tested. Flamini advanced forward without being closed down he then picked out the unmarked Barnes who had a pop from 25 yards. Given saved it well but it fell back to Shevchenko who curled it towards the bottom corner, it went just a few inches wide.

On the hour mark they managed another chance when Barnes’s cross was poorly cleared by Pederson. It fell to Flamini who fed the ball into the feet of Shevchenko, Ferdinand came in for the tackle but Shevchenko swpet the ball away and hammered it towards goal, it hit the inside of the side netting and TRC are cruising. Transvestite Rodeo Clowns 2-0 Thunder Hawks.

In the last 15 minutes Thunder Hawks started to come back a little creating the odd chance. On 84 minutes they managed to cut through the TR Clowns defence for the first time. Denilson played through Berbatov who controlled the ball well before sending the ball out wide to Pederson. Pederson cut into the box and played the ball along the ground to Berbatov who struck it first time, the shot was powerful but straight and Freidel caught it with ease.

Transvestite Rodeo Clowns 2-0 Thunder Hawks
Flamini 31
Shevchenko 60

Transfer Window is inconsistent.

World Class Goalies are 500, when World Class Strikers are 700

But other than that, I'm OK.

Oh yeah and also I've decided to give you all 500 points and here are buying/ selling prices.

Category--------------Buying Price------Selling Price
Footballing God--------700--------------500
World Class------------500--------------350
Excellent----------------400-------------280
Very Good--------------300--------------200
Good--------------------200-------------150

I don't think the rest matters unless you really want to know. It's roughly 70% with a few alterations.

For anyone who can't remember or doesn't know the transfer rules it's on the second post on the first page (except with the above alterations)

Good point, in reality you can't sell anyone when they are injured because they can't pass a medical. I'm not sure about in this though, if you hadn't asked I would have let you lol.

I suppose you can.
