16, eh? It's overrated. You get your license but you actually have to get a car too. Good year, but it was hyped up to be more than it turned out to be. But it's better than 17.

I am a yank, and on long island you can only get a permit at 16 (you can't drive alone), and at 17 you can only get your licence if you've taken drivers ed, otherwise its 18 to get a full licence. I think upstate NYers can drive alone w/ their permit at 16.

Actually, my cousin lives in the North and she can't get her license until she turns 17 and even then it might as well be a learner's permit until she turns 18. Technically, Im against raising the driving age for 1 reason. Part-time jobs.

And your drivers liscense when you're 16.

In Missouri you can get a hardship license at 14, but you can only use it to drive to work or school and back home again...and you have to live more than two miles from town.
