Am actually a bit worried about him now, for the Celtic v Villireal game, he defiately has the skill to be world class but is he a consistant enough performer, he has a decent goal scoring record for his first team but only 4 goals in 49 for Villireal.

Redcar royals are in trouble, 5 games in and they have just 1 point and today the face difficult opposition in the form of title contenders Emo United who will be looking to keep up in the title race on the back of a two game winning streak.

Match Report:

The first half started in exciting fashion with chances being created at both ends. The best chance in the first 20 minutes fell to Emo United. Rosicky played a one-two with Fabregas which put him through in the box he squared in to Torres who was hacked down by Gary Neville, surely that’s a penalty? It is the ref points to the spot. Torres steps up and hits it with plenty of power but it goes way over the bar! What a let off for Redcar.

On 31 minutes Redcar managed a chance of their own, they broke on the counter after Fabregas was dispossessed by Senderos. Snederos played the ball forward to Joe Cole who drove at the Emo defence. Emo United were left exposed at the back and were facing a 3v2 position, as a result they failed to close down Joe Cole before he got a shot away on the edge of the box, his shot was dipping but James managed to tip it over the bar.

5 minutes later Redcar break through the Emo defence again, this time it was Downing whostremaed forward, he slid through Tevez who shot across goal James, however, was equal to it and could sent it out for a corner. Joe Cole swung the corner in which was very poorly defended, Tevez found himself with a free header 6 yards out and this time there was nothing James could do to stop it hitting the back of the net. Emo United 0-1 Redcar Royals.

After losing a shock first goal Emo United sprung into action in an attempt to strike back immediately. Elano ran at Neville and passed him with ease, he then played an early cross into the box aimed at Rosicky. The cross went too long for Rosicky but Torres ran onto it at the back post, he took a touch before shooting past Jääskeläinen, and into the net. Emo United 1-1 Redcar Royals.

After an entertaining first half the game slowed in the second half. Both teams, Emo United in particular were still going forward in an attempt to take the lead but it wasn’t until the 73 minute that a great chance was carved out. Rosicky and Torres played a few short passes on the edge of the box before laying it back to Fabregas who dinked the ball in behind the Redcar defence. Elano ran through and controlled it beautifully with just Jaaskalinen to beat he side footed it goal wards and it beat Jaaskalinen, but not the post agonisingly just wide.

Redcar were not disheartened and didn’t crumble at the pressure being applied by Emo United as they may have done in previous matches, as the match entered injury time there was only time for one last chance, and it fell to Redcar. Downing crossed the ball in from the right wing but it went straight to Stubbs who swung at the ball but completely scuffed it! The ball fell for Tevez for an easy finish but his shot was lame and it was palmed away with ease by James. Babel just managed to keep it in and faked a pass back to Tevez before squeezing it in from a tight angle, RR steal their first win of the season at the death! Emo United 1-2 Redcar Royals.

Emo United 1 v 2 Redcar Royals.
Torres 37---------Tevez 36
---------------------Babel 90+2

:o I was shocked when that came out! League table up in a second.

My prospects are looking up. Hopefully I can get up to 4th, but it all rests on the 2 above.

Your only 4 points behind I wouldn't give up all hope yet. It's still very interesting it's almost impossible to predict the top 4 even when you do know the formula. Every game is important and things are likely to change after the transfer market.

I was originally thinking about giving you all 1000 points again but I think this may be too much and that all the teams would change entirely, and I'm also thinking about reducing the price I will pay for your players to say 70%. How much do you think is a good amount? 500? 750? or 1000 again?

Keeper your is one category better
Defense exactly the same
Midfield is 2 categories better
Striker is 1 category better

Summary your team is marginally better all over the pitch. Cena's tactics have an advantage over yours + randomocity in cena's favour= narrow win for cena. I was a little surprised myself but I think it reflects real football, in any one off game anyone can beat anyone, just look at some FA cup results over the years, but over the course of a series of matches the best teams usually prevail and if you look at my table it generally reflects this, icedagger's team its one of the best on paper and cena/amino's teams are difinately the worst on paper. i think your just unhappy that your losing [-X ;)

p.s remember that you don't know the exact ability of each player it's possible that an excellent player is just 1 point higher than a v. good player, but its also possible that they are 9 points better.

500 good for everyone then?
