what if you lost the stroke on those army circles, and made the actual area of the circles 1 pixel bigger in each direction? By putting an outline on the circles my brain really wants the numbers to fit within the outline, which they won't. 88 might because it has rounded corners, but 77 will not.

Update 25 soon here? I want the Bonus Colours on Legend to be updated all is not showing the true colour of each bonus part. Also as i mentioned Dark green changed to lighter colour.

And a new thing try to put that "Yellow Glow" on the lanterns on the lanterns on the legend to. Just a tought.

I think some clarification is needed on the border indicators... in fact, I don't think the present system works as you intended.

I'm looking at Emp Pu Yi: there's a border box, then a "hallway" which isn't a territory, then another border box, then a hallway to Imperial Army. I assume those two are connected. So two border boxes and two hallways means connection.

Also from Emp Pu Yi there's a border box, a hallway, a border box, and a hallway to Japan. I assume those two are also connected.

Also from Amp Pu Yi there's a border box, a hallway, a border box, a hallway, and a border box to Italy. Are they connected? If so, why the extra box? If two border boxes can link two territories, can three? Or four?

From Wu Chow to Yuan Shi Kai there are also two border boxes and two hallways, so I assume they are conencted as well?

OK, if there is, can you suggest how it might be done.
While i know i am the mapmaker/designer, i wonder about people's problem solving abilities sometimes oaktown, i really do. I would like to place lots of "classic style" geographic territories on this the way people are used to seeing little amoeba blobs like funny-shaped cells, but it isn't going to fit the design of the map.
So if you have a suggestion as to how it can done that allows the current territory configuration without losing the feel of the map or any territories, i am all ears.

1. colours for CB
2. are you happy with the play configuration i.e. there are no bottlenecks etc like happened with Das Schloss.
3. Will any of the continents be hard too hard to attain. I know it is classic play with no tricks, but there are some continents that are quite split up.
4. are you happy with the bonuses

Point-by-point:

I raised my concerns here earlier, and you seem to have addressed them by making sure the halls say "hall," etc. It does seem odd that you have a "hall" in the inner court

2. are you happy with the play configuration i.e. there are no bottlenecks etc like happened with Das Schloss.
Geez, I dunno... maybe? Those side attacks look like big bottlenecks to me - KMT and Prince Juan seem to control a lot of movement - but the fact there are 'hallways' along both sides open things up pretty well.

It's a little weird that the yellow line stops and then starts up again, but people should be able to figure that out.

Cheng and Yo are probably connected, but the yellow line is pretty solid right there.

"Foreigners" could be confused with the foreign nations... another word instead of foreigners? The color and graphics should set them apart, but it can't hurt to be more accurate.

3. Will any of the continents be hard too hard to attain. I know it is classic play with no tricks, but there are some continents that are quite split up.
With so many bonus regions (16 I think?) players will find a way to make a bonus that works for them. When players have a lot of options, I don't think every option has to be an easy one.

the bonuses: in the map ( i think you've missed it) it states that two-territory continents start half neutral.
will this allay the lucky start business?
and also i simply use the bonus calculator to do these bonuses, so they are up for grabs by those with more gameplay/tactical knowledge.

So it does! I was looking for that info in the first post. When you think about it, that's not really something you need on the map - by the time you start a game you will see that you don't have both. I guess it might play a role in Fog games.

In terms of assigning them a +3 bonus, I tend to think that the number of attacking territories isn't as important as the calculators (including mine) tend to make it. Whether or not you can be attacked by one or a dozen enemies, you still only have to defend two places - and getting a +2 allows you to do just that. When it does play a role is in expansion - you can't very well go anywhere if you are stuck defending.

If you think the bonuses run a bit high across the board on this map, I'd say go ahead and stick with the +3.

Seriously they dont look the same, im sure this isint me. The colours on the legend deffintly dont match the ones on the map.

"Foreigners" could be confused with the foreign nations... another word instead of foreigners? The color and graphics should set them apart, but it can't hurt to be more accurate.

Well, yes you could call them churches for the sake of the map.
I would prefer to recall them as foreigners as it was the "foreign devils" (whom the churches were part of) who were not wanted in China. As you know, this has been going on for years with the Opium Wars. The Churches were meary the final catalyst in the process that started off the Boxer Rebellion - hence they are tied on that side of the map to the 8 Nation Alliance and opposed by the Empress and Prince Juan.

No i would like to have them excatly in the xml as they are on the map.
I don't think that regal has anything to do with this. Anyone who opens this map probably knows about the Emperors of China and that they lived in this Forbidden City. It has certainly been documented enough and has been on TV several (in Australia anyway) lately. So i would like to imagine that they are going to associate Emp> with Emperor and Emps. with Emperess. For me, this is more about territory identification in the drop lists of what is on the maps.

You are quite correct, however based on the above, i would have to change the title in the map and i don't think that will fit. I will c what i can do, but it will probably remain the same, unless i can find something more suitable.

Well probably yes and no...
the reason i beleive it doesn't appear as the same color, is because the center colour is the same, but on the lettering the black border is closer together giving the appearance of a different shade of green. Illusional -> Dilusional
