I talked to a woman yesterday who has been on the Board of Education for the local school district for almost 13 years now. She told me that there has not been a single snow day anywhere in the district in at least 17 years. Even with the huge amount of snow, ice, wind, blizzards, etc. that we have here in Colorado, no snow days. It's crazy. When I went to school (in Indiana and Missouri) snow days were always expected if there was any ice or 3in of snow on the ground. But the poor kids who have to go to school here have to go to school no matter what, even if the roads are like an ice-rink or 3ft of snow is on the ground.
