I totally 100% agree. Not cool at all. Joke or not.

While I agree it was disruptive I ended up getting 26 points and he apologized to me, and after my first turn i really didn't care.

Oh no that link to a game could include porn of some kind which i am allergic to or it could even be a virus that tom made!!

I thought plenty before I posted, t-o-o-l, I wanted your little friends to re-think having your back. Why should everyone here pay for your actions? You would have them take away BBC code from mature CCers because the kiddies can't be trusted to use it in a reasonble manner? I hardly think that's fair to the rest of us...

it's not always what a person did but what they've done before. tom is notoriously disruptive and immature (please don't send me another pm. it's nothing personal. you haven't offended me. it's just true).

I don't put him on my ignore list because he posts in the foundry and that'd be annoying to have to click 'view this post' every time he was posting in some map thread. he can be a good guy but much of the time he's not.

he obviously can't help himself because he's been banned and warned numerous times. once you've gotten to this point, anything minor you do becomes magnified. that's just how I see it. there should be no tolerance.

Listen to this as this is the last time i will say it.

I did it one time, on a friend, and a few times on chat - which i have been punished for and they were to friends, so you can hardly go around saying that i use BCC codes in an unreasonable mannor when i am using them to contribe to the community. This is not affecting everybody, is it? Name me the people affected, and name the people affected who are friends and who dont mind. You find that no one cares out of the people who i did it to. Why do you care? Do your homework before you go into a thread making unsupported accusations.

The point is not so much about this "1" time link as t-o-m puts it. If this was his first time to do anything than we could all let it go, but it is not. He has been in trouble many times, with forum bans etc. When will he learn? Maybe never but who knows. If I was lack I know what I would do.

Hmmmm....t-o-m is an outstanding member of The Untouchables Clan and is moderator of our whole external forums. Which has over 25 very very active posters. Even here on CC he is always trying to help others. His contributions in the foundry shouldnt be ignored either! He is a goood member of the CC community and im quite sure his actions had no malice in them.

He hasnt specifically broken any concrete rules here but i would say it wasnt a very wise thing he done. Lets remember that boys will boys and the older players among you should back of just a little bit.

I ask of tom to refrain from posting such links because you may upset the players involved. But after all it hasnt brken any rules and really isnt such a big time. Sometimes, you need to step back and remember this is only a game! No hardship was done to any involved!

(Actually, it's something I would have done a few years back. I got a warning from Wicked, my mistress, for posting an indirect link to 2 girls & 1 cup). I should have printed that PM, cause there will be none like it.... :(

i think thats different...and if u only got warned for posting 2 girls 1 cup thats bs
u should of been perma banned for that
as for tom
i think people are over reacting
u should learn from all the rick rolling and gear to always check links first

its just a harmless practical joke....yer mature but who cares...move on from it...
or do u all want your mummy to hold your hand each time u click a link

Here's the thing.

What I'm hearing:
*it wasn't against the rules
*I only did it a few times
*I only did it to friends
*I've already been warned

What I'm not hearing
*I totally see your point
*it was a douchy thing to do
*I'll never do it again

For everyone on the "it was all in good fun" side, I say that there are certain interweb behaviors that need to be discouraged, and this is one of them. Intentionally false links make baby jesus cry (and before anyone says "oh it's just like a rickroll", last time I checked I only lost a few minutes to a rickroll, rather than points and quite a bit more time). The utter lack of remorse or repentance makes it worse.

It seems your all out to get tom. Who was the trick played on coz i would very much like to speak to him before jumping to conclusions! Was this between friends? Was it some random bloke that got knobbbed.

Those issues really depend on remorse and repentance! Lets not make a mountain out of a molehill as usual
