Human Body

Postby strang3r on Fri Aug 01, 2008 4:52 pm

I would like to see a map of the human body, like each limb could be a continent, the upper and lower torso, and the head could be a special one that could attack the hands and feet or something, maybe im crazy but i think itd be cool

an idea suggested maybe times before mate. It just doesnt have the appeal or dedication behind it to become a CC map. There are a million other ideas that catch people attention much more.

But hey, its always nice to have new people visiting the foundry, welcome!

i don't agree with you gim...

i think everyone would love to have a human body map. why else would there be so many threads about it?

the problem is that this is a family oriented site, and the question always comes up... what would you do for genitalia... would you use a man or a woman? would you just show nothing? but then that isn't an accurate representation of the human body...

its tough, but i think i'd like to see someone finally succeed at it

You could have a map of TWO human bodies, a man and a woman having sex! Standing up of course so as not to put one person in a subordinate position.

or you can have them both clothed, the woman would be a striper, and the man could be an officer, thus showing that he is superior although they are at an equal height...

its awesome because there are regions and there are systems that could allow you to attack all over. like the digestive system, circulatory system, skin, etc...we could do a map of the digestive system and call it "poop-shoots and Bladders"

and on that note

Ye can always do the blood system with organs. With that you can have a pathogen thats introduced. If ye hold the pathogen, certain organs or veins are decaying armies while others where the pathogen grows would gain.

Also with the teeth ye could always group by molars, incisors, bicuspids, and so on.

Human Anatomy

Postby zdrakias on Mon Nov 17, 2008 6:00 am

Hi everybody.

A thought rose to my mind when I thought about making my own map.
what could be new? As I am pretty much interested in Biology I thought, it would be cool to play on a map that looks like the human Body with all important organs.
So I began to draw the blood circulation and some organs, connected them and made some ideas about the gameplay.+

This is what came out after some time:
image

[edit: when I click on "image, nothing happens. So here is the direct link: http://img360.imageshack.us/my.php?imag ... uf5ux2.jpg]

Description:

At first I have to say, the word "online" should mean "only". I was tired, when I draw this :D .

Each Organ gives a Bonus, as described on the right side on the picture.

The central point of the brain can attack every organ, as explained on the left side.

What I forgot to write:
I thought, that the central brain should start with x (3?) neutrals and the 4 parts around it with 2 neutrals.
And on the beginning of the keeping players turn, the central brain should be resetted to 3 neutrals.

Daydream just told me to call the "tummy" "stomache" which I guess fits better to Anatomy.

And of course, all Territories will be named, maybe like B1 for Brain 1 or L3 for Lung 3 .

What I need from you?
At first I want you to tell me your opinion about this.
Compliments as well as criticism :)

and the second thing is:
I dont have programs like fireworks and photoshop and the only thing I can work with is maybe paint :D
So I need someone that could voluntarily make a layout for this map.
I got some ideas for that, but I cant do it myself.

XML should be the smaller problem, I found a nice guy who is confirm to that.

kind regards

It's been tried many many times, good luck, i do want to see a human anatomy map made. I do have hopes for this one. Not so much the graphics, or the gameplay, but this...
The Colon can attack Smell

I'd suggest that if your goal is anatomic accuracy, there are plenty of names that would be more appropriate than a Letter/number nomenclature. It would definitely be cool to see a biologically oriented map, but there is quite a bit of difficulty inherent in the subject matter. I've been trying to work my way around it for a while now.

Sounds interesting! So you mean, I should name the "collon" "Intestinum Crassum"? This would be the name, using a Latin nomenclatur.
How would you call the "stomach" or how would you name the different Territories belonging to it.
Ventriculus for the whole Bonus and Ventriculus 1 (V1), ..., for the different parts?

I've been trying to work my way around it for a while now.

What do you mean by that?
Did you try to make an anatomic map, too?

I've actually just been trying to come up with a cool biologically oriented map. My current ideas currently revolve around microbes, but there's no telling how long that will last.

As far as naming goes, that's all you, but if this moves along a bit, I'd be happy to help.

I'm glad for every suggestion. I will definetly think about it and use Latin names or similar very likely.

If you start with your map, send me a pm.
Sounds interesting and I would be glad to hear more about it.

I spend some minutes browsing blood circulation in different languages and found this image:
image

Its like my drawn picture, but not that complicated.
Theres no colon for example.

But just to give you an imagination.
take this picture, put in a picture of every organ, divided into territories, and add the rest of the digestive System as on my drawing. Every red and blue arrow is a territory, too.

For the background a silhouette of a mans torso would be great and at the side maybe a Cardiogramma.

I would show you what I mean, but i'm not able to work with photoshop, fireworks and Gimp.
I tried but I dont know anything about it and the tutorials dont really help because my programm is german and I hardly understand an english tutorial :/
