Accused:

The accused are suspected of:
  • Other: Ratings Abuse

Game number(s):

Comments:
Player left me all 1's in a game I defeated him in. I did not miss a turn, commented in chat when he didn't, and my fair play was not a 1! Looking at his history you can tell I am not the only person he/she has done this to.

This guy is a problem - he flew off he handle in a recent game we played and then - get this - followed the game with a series of insulting and curse-ridden PMs. I suggest adding him to your Foe list and telling everyone else you know to do the same.

To the moderators, I suggest that it's probably worth prohibiting him (or her, as the case may be) from using the feedback system, too. It doesn't work well in the hands of abusive jerks - and he has the track record to justify such a ban.

In the meantime, of course, just avoid him / ignore him

Skiman is right in that you should add this player to your Foe List. As for the rating that you were given, CC has not been deleting any ratings yet. Also, there is discussion in the back channels among the mods and admin as to what actually constitutes ratings abuse and what the punishment should be. This has yet to be decided, but if this is your only poor rating, it will likely be averaged out quickly and will not make a difference.

Thanks for the advice, I now have a foe!

I can definitely understand the problem of deciding what exactly constitutes rating abuse. Giving a 1 for no missed turns in a speed game sure would fit that description in my opinion. Perhaps another reason to grade attendance outside of the current system.

There is a suggestion in Suggs & Bugs (made by lack himself) to automate attendance ratings. Link.

Agreed. Total hot-head that either doesn't know how to play, or just gets so angry when things don't go his way he suicides. He then blows up at everyone else.

It's a shame the mods are deleting any ratings yet, but I can understand why that would be a big burden. Would be nice to see the right to leave ratings be removed from guys that consistently abusive it, though

What would really help was a showing how many Foe List's someone is on next to their name - I reckon that's a much better signal for whether that player is a jerk than the rating system. And I bet njclfc is on a lot of Foe's Lists. Most people - I'm sure - don't want to play with this loser, so a system that would help them avoid her would be most welcome
