Sorry but I think you got a couple of names wrong.
France and Portugal remain the same in their native languages. The other three translations are correct.

Eire/Ireland has 1 territory to defend it get a bonus of 1 that's fair i think
Italy has 1 Territory to defend it gets 3. Why?
Benelux has 3 territories to defend it gets 1?
multiplayertim wrote:Ruben Cassar wrote:Edit: Change Eire to Ireland since there is also Northern Ireland added to that region.
Ruben is correct Éire is the Irish name for the Republic of Ireland i f you include Northern Ireland then the name applied is usually Ireland with reference to the island of Ireland rather than the country

Aragon -> Aragón
Catalonia -> Cataluña
Andalusia -> Andalucía
Rhone-Alps -> Rhône-Alpes
(I suggest you check the rest out on the internet)

Edit: Change Eire to Ireland since there is also Northern Ireland added to that region.

I like the legend better than the last version's, but something seems off to me about it. Maybe it's because all those boxes are just sitting on the ocean? Are you going to keep messing around with it?
The attack lines on the minimap are also weird...maybe curve them a bit?

Cheers for the help Ruben - I did look at wiki for some of these translations - and the ones on the map are from there - so we have conflicting information...
However - I'm sure you're right - so I'll get the G-man to change them!
PS -> You missed the accent in Bretagne over the first e.
PPS - if Andalusia - is Andalucía - does that mean Valencia should be Valencía? (Same with Galacía?)

I think you should try to make Deutschland fit somehow for consistency reasons.
Bretagne doesn't have an accent on the e in French as far as I know.
Valencia remains Valencia in Spanish.

The first line on North Africa "Countries and regions can attack each other" seems confusing to me ... it seems to imply that all countries and regions can attack each other ... I know what it means, because I know how the map works, but I'm not sure that that part of the legend helps for someone who doesn't.cicero, at least twice now, wrote:Legend wording ...

That's not an accent on the first map. It's the border line which seems like an accent.

Whilst I agree that these are probably better wordings - Gimil is loath to add more of Africa to provide enough space...

The rules are unclear as they are now. Cicero's wording seems perfect to me, as it clears up all potential issues.

PREUßEN (if you still want it) [unicode= U+00DF / html code= ß ]
France and other french names are ok, Portugal also. "La France" is only the emphatic pompous way french people speak about themselves (I'm french) it's a bit like saying "THE United States of America".
Second point, with minimap being an important part of gameplay, you will have some size problem with 3 digits armies or 2 numbers plus color code. You have to make it bigger. You can remove the legend inside to gain space. I would also call it COUNTRIES and the bonus legend BONUS.
The 3 digits problem is also valid for the rest of the map!
And last, but it's more about my feeling, I find it too dark and hard to read.
I hope it will help, courage, go on!
PS. could put the latest version on page 1.
