NOW for the FUN part of the Tournament!!!Join us as we take a stroll.......down memory lane. For each round/game that is played we will re-live a scene from the movie, "The Wizard of Oz". For years this story has given faithful service to the Young in Heart; and Time has been powerless to put it's kindly philosophy out of fashion.
Scene 1Dorothy Sings, "Over The Rainbow"Dorothy ends up over in a "corner" so to speak, because no one has time for her right now. Auntie Em tells her to go somewhere where she won't get in any trouble......and Dorothy talks to Toto:
Some place where there isn't any trouble.
Do you suppose there is such a place, Toto? There must be.
Not a place you can get to by a boat or a train.
It's a far, far away place - behind the moon - beyond the rain -
(Over The Rainbow)Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high. There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue. And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops, Away above the chimney tops.
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere, over the rainbow, bluebirds fly. Birds fly over the rainbow,
Why then - oh, why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow,
Why, oh, why can't I ?
Scene Two:Miss Gulch Comes To Get Toto"Here's what I'm taking him in....."Dorothy is going bananas at the thought of Miss Gulch taking Toto. She's screaming...." Oh no, you mustn't...Auntie Em, you won't let her, will you??" Dorothy gets really mad when Miss Gulch produces an order from the sheriff and calls Miss Gulch a...."wicked old witch..."
