This is kind of like the total perspective vortex. if we're alone, then we are VERY alone. And small.

hmmm...from what ive heard america is developing interstella missiles...which probably means theve found something...so were not alone(in range of our own planet).....just imagine all the life forms.

What ive always wondered is if theres another planet the same distance from its sun same dimensions, same atmosphere?...if that was true would that mean life forms have devolped the same?..so technallicly meaning the human race is already "out there"

There is another demention, a spiritual one. Makeing us not alone, but apart from tht demention I believe we are alone. God created man. But before us He created angels, 1/3 of which were cast out of Heaven with Satan (Lucifer- angelic name). So, we are not alone, but as for life on another planet outside of the spiritual.... I think NOT.

You believe in God based on faith.

Some, including me, believe in life on other planets based on probability and statistics.

Your God may be an alien.

edumdomcpot: Religion must shun new ideas to remain relevant. If aliens came down to this world, it would shatter most religions' idea of what is real. If man is created in God's image, and we have another species of being arrive, then either there is no God or there are more Gods. Either way, Judeo-Islamo-Christianity is boned.

Amen. 10,00o galaxies, each with a billion stars, in one tiny part of space. To photograph the whole sky like that would take over a million years. But life can't exist on any of the planets out there BECAUSE IT WOULD BE IN THE BIBLE

I wasn't saying that I didn't understand your post (hence the italics in the above quote). I was commenting on how you frequently misspell words, and I'm not talking about typos or what not. You honestly think that dimension is spelled demention...

That isn't the only reason you make yourself look uneducated though...there would also be your complete lack of logic and reason. Please don't defend yourself; I've strayed from the topic.

No, it's because you don't know how to spell Dimension.

Demention is a song by the band Hallucinogen. The lyrics are:
"There is an area of the mind that could be called unsane, beyond sanity, and yet not insane. Think of a circle with a line split in it. At one end there's insanity. You go around the circle to sanity, and on the other end of the circle, close to insanity, but not insanity, is unsanity."

It's a trance song.

Demention is also not a real word. The closest word is Dementia which basically means "Insanity"

So, attempting to translate your sentence looks something like:
"There is another insanity, a spiritual one. Making us not alone but apart from that insanity I believe we are alone."

Sounds like something from a Hunter S. Thompson novel.

Demention is a word. A mirror refects a two dementional image, Ever see a 3D (3 demention) movie?

An I conquer, I am not a great speller.... but that does not make one uneducated.

It's DIMENSION! With an I and an S. Grab a dictionary and look up the word "Demention." You won't find it. Do you know why? Because it isn't a real word.

An I conquer, I am not a great speller.... but that does not make one uneducated.

True, but when you repeat your mistake in the presence of the correct version, that does.

You meant to do that right? Also I mentioned more than just your lack of correct spelling.
