First Game Back on Varsity the best of my H.S. Carreer.

Despite the fact that we lost today's game was awesome. I had 4 interceptions, 8 tackles, 5 receptions on offense for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns, plus a reverse play that went for 89 yards for a touchdown and had a total of over 400 yards by myself!!! I've never played like this before. It was simply the best experience I've had playing football. They even put me in at linebacker for a series and I got a sack on the QB.

Did I mention they are supposed to have the one of best passing offense and the best pass defense in our region and are #4 in the state?

Congrats strike wolf! FOUR interceptions? O.O wow... i hope you got defensive player of the week for that one :o

We just had cross country league finals on Thursday, and I pulled one of my best runs through as well... according to my coaches it was my passing 3 guys in the last stretch which allowed us to move from 3rd in league to 2nd, and now WE'RE GOING TO CIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Some first year on varsity this has been :)

edit- (for those not in california, CIF = California Interscholastic Federation)

This was my first start this year, I got the start for the second half of last year too. But I got the exact statistics now. I made up for over 3/4 of my team's yardage and the 89 yard touchdown run was 2 yards short of a school record.

Last year, my soccer team was 1-13-1. this year we were 8-6-1, and all of us juniors. I made first team, with three other people on my team. two made 2nd team, and 3 honorary mention. Big year for us, and i got twelve goals this year. We will dominate this nxt year.

that's sorta how our cross country team is working out this year. All of last year's varsity graduated, and the oldest guys on our team are juniors (like me). We placed second in League (so we're going to finals), but next year, since none of us are graduating, we're shooting for first! :D

Our x-country team has always been good and will make region this year providing they do well against Blessed Trinity.

P.S. Had possibly the worst practice of the year today. I dropped 4 passes on offense and tripped over my own 2 feet defending the Post, not to mention some other mishaps.

It happens, nothing to worry about in my experience. Personally I've been having a bad week because of some inconvenient knee problems and way too much homework (which equals lack of sleep). And the recent heatwave down here hasn't helped either, lol. :)

Injuries suck. Other than my arm which kept me out for a good part of this season, I had a high ankle sprain last year that kept me out for a while. Even when I came back though I was having a hard time pushing off with that foot.

Well last game of the season tomorrow I have to make it count. Oh, there will be scouts there this time. The team we're playing has 5 players who everyone in the country is looking at.

wow, gl Strike. Play well and have fun. Wink at a few cheerleaders on your way onto the field, it may give you the adrenaline rush you need! :D

I'm actually not going to be playing quite as much this week. It's senior night and the 2nd string guy is gonna play more than he usually would.

gah, damn those seniors! :x

On the bright side, you've got another season to shine and they don't. Gotta love being a junior on Varsity :D

Yeah next year senior night comes around for me, I'll probably be playing both sides of the ball all night until I start getting too tired. Football's a battlefield though, you always have to keep moving.

Just realized I never went back to this. Well anyways. Senior night was pretty uneventful for me other than a touchdown catch that was called inclomplete because I was "out of bounds". I did get 1 interception and a few tackles but other than that they kept it on the ground and to the middle.

cross country championships were today, I just got home a few hours ago. We did well, and I personally pulled out one of my better races, and was ahead of two guys on our team who I rarely beat, and right near another guy. We didn't do well enough to advance to the next level, but given how young our team is (again, no seniors, no varsity returning from last year) it's a miracle we made it this far. Plus I got an awesome patch to put on my letterman jacket when I get one (I get the patch in December :D ), so all in all it's been a good day.
