DDS is nothing special at risk :P, as illustrated by his rank lol. Anyway, he'll be cleared quite quickly.

thanks, just wanted to do this for dds' sake since he's pretty conformed to following policy with turning himself in as a political act and all... just thought i do his ego a favor and do this too.

and i can accept that i lost...i can even accept that DDS is possibly a good player...only possibly...just depends on who else is in the game is all...that seems to determine his playing ability.

you seem to have thought that you won... dds is innocent and as such hasnt been punished for something he hasnt done....

I looked at the game you posted. It would appear that you had a lot of unskilled players in the game. You had two deadbeaters and yellow was just not very aggressive. I played with Dirtydishsoap in a Quad and I have to say, I can't imagine him cheating. He's a good player. You may want to elaborate on why you think there was an alliance with yellow so people know what to look for. Just a suggestion.

win? i didn't win...he got the points...there's nothing to win and i didn't do this so i could "win"...i'm just doing what he would do...this has nothing to do with winning or losing, but rather preference- :D

ok, well when you read the game log, you'll see that towards the end when DDS did his thing, i had only two cards and i was on the other side of the map, njc had 1 card, no fortified borders and was connected to DDS both through N.amer and africa - remember no bordering...so dds turned in took green out which left him with five cards for the next turn. he turned in again...

IF he had deployed even on the same spot and taken yellow out:
he would of had 4 cards at the end of his turn plus europe's bonus

INSTEAD he leaves yellow unharmed, and untouched, goes all the way across the map to attempt to kill me only to fail and guess who doesn't do anything to him? ya yellow. the only one that was able to do anything to hinder DDS was yellow, and with unprotected borders from both throughout the game....yellow did nothing to break bonuses, in fact they only took like 2 countries from each other in the east. i'm not upset that i lost...that happens, it's upsetting that he claims to be a good player yet makes poor moves, fails and is still able to win...that's like rolling an attack fase and getting 12 consecutive 6's on the whites....not possible, but still it happened...so perhaps it's just a fluke where DDS is in fact an idiot but has the amazing ability to tell that his neighbor is a much bigger idiot and can predict without knowing them at all that they won't attack him giving him no need to defend himself....but it's not possible even though it happend. much like the attack phases on CC (i'm not blaming CC for the dice rolls, dont nit pick - random.org...blah blah blah - i know...it's just if you roll the same thing with real dice on 18 vs 2 you won't end up with 1vs 2)

Escalating games aren't about continents, they're about cards, more specifically, being able to cashin midturn and run the table. When I'm looking at who to take out when in which order, I look at how many men I would have to take out and how many cards they have. You said if he took out yellow with one card that he would've had 4 cards. You also said you had two cards. Well that right there should be a major clue as to why he went after you!! Taking you out means another mid-turn cash for him and he finishes the game. Coming up short when trying to take someout out usually alwasy means subpar dice. It's also very common in escalating not to bother breaking bonuses since it's really not about holding continents.

but that's ridiculous to go clear cross map for an extra card....he still couldn't have turned in mid turn because 2+2=4 not 5 either way he wouldn't have gotten the mid-turn turn in...just a 100% guarantee to turn in at the start of his NEXT TURN...so logically i would say it would be best to take the bonus area and the other little guy out so that i don't know, i secure a good chance to turn in next, one less opponent, oh and 5 extra guys...his way and your way are dumb even according to your own reasoning, there was no way for him to do a mid-turn turn in...it was impossible, moreover it was stupid (unless you can do a mid-turn turn in with 5...in which case it makes a little sense, risky - but name of the game):

1 card > -1 opponent, +5 bonus, +2 for territories, four cards at beginning of next turn

logically it doesn't make sense... yellow had like no guys, no border protection, no idea what to do [assuming]

so based on what you said it still makes sense to take yellow out first then me...

so the question now is can one do a mid-turn turn-in after acquiring a fifth card? i thought it had to be six...if i'm wrong then that makes a little more sense...and again i apologize - i understand a little why he would take a risk, but moreover it wasn't a good move

Yes, once you get a 5th card, and it is your turn, you must turn in.

You can only ever hold 5 cards at the end of your turn, so if you accumulate 5 mid-turn (which would put you at 6 at the end of your turn), you must cash in.

And no one ever claimed DDS was the primo player here. Everyone makes mistakes and errors in judgment. I've seen some people play so horribly, it looks like a secret alliance, when in actuality it's just a bad play.

in which case...that wasn't so...so mid-turn wasn't possible. and i agree with you wicked that horrible game play can resemble alliances, it's just usually when a suggestion is made in game chat and only one of two parties respond on behalf of both....well, suspicious? i thought so...so if in fact this is just mis-understanding then let it be known i accept MY failure - and i wish DDS the best in all his games, but i'm going to keep an eye out for him regardless.
