the inner oases have 5 neutrals right? and the outer ones have 3... there might not be the same amount of motivation to go for an inner oases if it has more neutrals, and will cost more armies, all to get the same amount of bonus as the outer ones...

In a lot of ways, Oasis is an amazing map. Its graphics are great, its gameplay is sufficiently unique, and the mapmaker helming it is receptive to intelligent changes to the map. It also is holding down a solid 5.27 posts/day despite being created over 2 months ago. NOTHING of that age even approaches the post rate of Oasis. In some ways, people post faster than wcaclimbing can respond, as he's only made 24.94% of all the posts.
The map has gotten a slew of support (30 posts worth, only exceeded by The Trojan War's 44 which was filled with teasers), and just over 57% of the time people are leaving constructive feedback in some form. Oasis also has 40 posts by C.A.s, greater than all but Supermax and New Europe, topics much older than it.
The relatively slow updating has created a significant amount of spam in the thread, nearly 1/3 (32.53%) of people's replies doesn't help wcaclimbing at all when it comes to completing his map. A lot of it is rehashing topics already covered by others, or simple laziness on the part of the poster to find answers.
In sum, you've created quite the extraordinary map, wcaclimbing. Now go out there and get us Version 6 already.

the left half of the key is looking better. the right side still needs some work.
I'm still figuring out something to do with the dotted lines.

I don't like the blue color of the word "Bonuses." Could you make that a tan/sandy color to fit with the rest of the color scheme? I like the blue. if I get another person saying to change it, then I will.
I don't like how the title text "Oasis" is partially translucent - you can see the texture of the whole legend-area behind the text. I'd make it more opaque. The texture is actually on top of the "Oasis" text. kinda like "oasis" is painted on the canvas that the back of the key is made of. I'll see what I can do to change that. If anything looks good, I'll change it.
Maybe you could merge the "Be careful..." text into the story-bit in the top left? It seems kind of out of place and redundant, since you have the "Warning" thing already. The story-bit could become "All the tribes in the fertile land rush to the oasis, each wanting to claim a piece of the treasure. But they must be careful; the desert is dangerous and the treasure is booby trapped. Many may die attempting to cross it" or something like that. Then the story wouldn't be able to fit in the map key. I would have to make the map even taller to fit that in there.
In general, this is looking really good . Where's the graphics stamp?
I heard I had to get the small version done first..... I'm not quite sure.
