That's the funniest poll question I've ever seen. I answered No, as in "No, I think they are real people." And I'm still not quite sure what I meant.

I think I've got it... I said yes, because, well, I believe that.

Nice Yes or No question.

I answer Yes...because I do "think your online friends are real or just a person on the computer".

It's one or the other for sure. You should also add "C" and "False" as choices.

Friends

Kind of a wieghted poll. Of course, most of us internet addicted Conquer Club fiends believe that our online friendships are of value. You might get another response if you were to contact our wives/husbands/parents/significant others........

Yes they are real friends.

I have met many of my Risk friends in person.

The Risk II players lounge has had a face to face tourney the last 3 years. Two years ago we met in Canada and had one player and his family come from Scotland. The first year and last year the meeting was in Orlando.

I answered no to both questions, as opposed to answering yes to both of them.

well seeing how I've met a number of people in person that I first met online, and became RL friends with them, I answered yes. For example, the nice house in a nice area that I currently rent for dirt cheap I got b/c of an online friend who I met in person for the first time when I came out here to interview. I even started up a non-profit with an online friend who'd I'd never met in person before (but now we're good friends in RL). BTW, none of these are people from CC, before anyone asks!

You just have to respect that not everyone feels this way, and some people may think you're a weird psycho-stalker. You also have to be careful about who you become friends with on sites like CC that have such a, uhh, "diverse" community.

I voted yes meaning I think real friendships can be made...I have yet to meet anyone in RL (I think you all avoid me....) but I expect I will here soon. In May at the very latest anyhow! Interesting poll.......

How do you expect an answer when the correct option isn't an available choice?

thanks all for the feedback.. you see, even though i have not met anyone from this club yet, i hope to one day meet some of you.

Maybe in a couple of years Lacky will have a CC convention. that would def. be cool.

i also believe that folks i interact with here are friends even though i haven't met them.
