I would lobby for the maps being a bit bigger. I know it's a "small" map in terms of territory count, but with the rivers and boats and the narrow territories with long names there is a lot going on in the center of the map. For me the busyness detracts from the otherwise excellent graphics, so if you bumped the small map up a bit it would require less leaning in for me to figure out what is what. Kemwer territory is especially troublesome, as it too me a while to notice that it borders Kha and Djanet.
Graphix stuph: The Sphinx still seems a bit off... there's an unnecessary pixely border around parts of it, and since it is so much darker than the column-shaped legend below it I don't buy that it is sitting atop it. The bevel effect next to the rivers is a bit too thick to reflect the banks of a river, but again that's just my opinion. And the color on the outside of each column could be darkened to match the rest of the map. And the font being used for the regions looks both Greek rather than Egyptian and cartoonish.
Gameplay stuph: The Memphis and Alexandria colors are a bit too close for me, though I can easily figure out what is what by the mini-map. Same with Tanis and Sile. Maybe instead of the current line about the Dows, it should say something like "River Nile can only be crossed by the Dows" - putting the emphasis on the uncrossable nature of the river rather than on the boats. And I'm uncomfortable with the three territory +3 regions, while all of the four terit regions are only +2. I recognize that the smaller regions have one more border to defend, but I'm not sure that's worth the extra army.
