For some reason a mod won't even look at this. Makes me wonder if everything is fair here on old CC. When someone gets reported for cheating and a mod does'nt even look at it that is pretty strange. Why has'nt anyone looked into these two guys? Maybe they are friends with the mods so the mods are letting it slide. It's kind of fishy.

Putting some stats into the discussion

jsmith72 wrote:i have played over 1600 games and only a handful have been with gloman55 most of them are team dubs or tournaments. as you can see in my games i have only played 20 or less assisain games. this is in no way cheating. as you can see in the game log we are not one player as the time stamps can prove that we are going at.

i dont even play them anyomore and it was so long ago i already lost the points i have gained from the few that i won.....because i lost a whole fuckload of them too...much mich more than ive won....

A quick check of the log shows that jsmith & gloman have played in 300 games together, of which roughly 165 were Assassin, 85 were doubles, 25 were standard, 15 were in an NFL doubles tournament, and 10 in triples.

In contrast to the 165 Assassin games they have played together, Jsmith has played in 15 Assassin games that didn't include gloman & Gloman has played in 18 Assassin games that didn't include jsmith.

Of the 165 Assassin games played together almost all were on the 8-player Doodle Earth map. Jsmith won 47 of the matches and gloman won 9 times.

Jsmith certainly won many more points in these matches than he lost.

Looking through 10 of Jsmith's most recent Assassin victories, here are what the game logs revealed:

Game 1832984: Jsmith wins in Round 1, after Gloman takes out 1 of Jsmith's 2 target provinces.
Game 1832967: Jsmith wins in Round 2, after Gloman takes out 1 of Jsmith's 2 target provinces.
Game 1762459: Jsmith wins in Round 2, after Gloman takes out 1 of Jsmith's 2 target provinces.
Game 1732627: Jsmith wins in Round 1, after Gloman takes out 1 of Jsmith's 2 target provinces.
Game 1681786: Jsmith wins in Round 2, after Gloman takes out 2 of Jsmith's 4 target provinces in this 4-player game
Game 1650793: Jsmith wins in Round 2, after Gloman takes out 1 of Jsmith's 2 target provinces. Several players question the "stupidity" of gloman's attack: "why would u hit the 6 of someone who isnt your target?"
Game 1650732: Jsmith wins in Round 1, after Gloman eliminates Jsmith's last target province.
Game 1643913: Jsmith wins in Round 1, after Gloman (his target) suicides per game chat
Game 1642829: Jsmith wins in Round 1, after Gloman takes out 1 of Jsmith's 2 target provinces.
Game 1595130: Jsmith wins in Round 1, after Gloman takes out 2 of Jsmith's 4 target provinces.

You see ooga booga (that name reminds me of a big green snot dripping off someones nose :|), thats the way to present evidence to the mods. Ranting and raving like a baby who had a lollypop stolen won't get you anywhere.

I'm not saying they are guilty, but I would like to hear there explanation on this one.

gloman55 and jsmith72 are cleared of being multis with each other. As for a secret alliance, they have played tons of games together and yet appear to also attack one another in most of their single games, so it's pretty hard to prove if there is.

However, we shall leave it up to any concerned player to freely leave a feedback should they feel if these two are having a secret alliance in their games, provided they back it up with supportive facts from the game.

King Achilles, I don't know what kinds of statistical tools and methodologies your team utilizes, but they appear to be sorely lacking. The list below shows that Jsmith & Gloman clearly helped each other in over 50% of their combined wins (29 out of 56). The typical scenario of a Jsmith-Gloman Round 1 victory played out as follows:

Game 1587372: Jsmith wins in Round 1, after Gloman takes out 1 of Jsmith's 2 target provinces:

2008-01-13 17:43:20 - Game has been initialized

There were numerous other comments in these games from suspicious players. A few openly questioned whether these two had a secret alliance.

I concur. Why is this being brushed off? regardless of what the prime or any clan member has to say, i think its fairly obvious IN THE GAMES IN QUESTION that there was some sort of cheating going on.

SHAME on the mods of this forum for letting the post degenerate into what it has. why would anyone come forward to name cheaters if they're going to be ridiculed in this manner. that in itself disgusts me. and its not only by the players who are OBVIOUSLY cheating, but by other players coming in to defend them too, one who is CC STAFF!!

i wont bother reposting all the dirty details as they're there in plain view. the posters above have highlighted quite a few of the abuses. no one is saying they're multis but something is obviously going on. is this just going to be allowed? how can they be cleared? 25 games of the same behavior!!

again, shame on you mods. i understand you all do a lot of work (for free) but man, this is disgraceful.

This is absolutely disgusting. The mods are obviously in bed with these two. How could the be cleared? Something is wrong here on CC. They are letting these two get away with cheating that is so obvious it is scary. I would like CC to refund my money. I don't want to have wasted $20 on a site where the mods are'nt going to stop their friends from cheating. Thats bs. So I guess it's ok to cheat as long as the mods are friends of yours. What sad day for CC.

I'm not taking sides here as I haven't looked at this issue closely at all, but a few simple calculations show Jsmith losing 127 of these games... which doesn't totally negate a profit margin since the wins --if they were actually all 8 player games-- provide points from 329 players. That's a decent net of 202 on the plus side of things... that is if they were actually all 8 player games.

oVo, Cool idea. How much could someone benefit using this approach? The lower their ranks, the more they benefit. A couple of Cooks could be Majors in no time.

The disturbing aspect of this "hide the signal in the noise" team play is that if this case can't be proved to the judge on such an easy map in a game that only lasts a few rounds, then it would be almost impossible to prove in the typical games. All the teams have to do is limit their coordinated attacks to once every 5 games or so and it is unlikely that they will ever be held accountable.

I have to assume that many people are currently doing so.

Gloman won only 9 of those games because he attacks others' targets too often to get to his own. That's all you have proved to me. And besides, gloman could be attacking 1's to get to his target and not 3's, you can't tell by the logs. Innocent until proven guilty, and that is certainly not evidence that they cheated, as it happens in many assassin games.

Thanks for the PM Teutonics, I feel the wrong decision has been made in this case as there are tons of examples of these players playing unfairly. Apparently, I was a victim of this a while back though I do not recall the game, having a read through my game chat and other game chats appears to give clear indication to me that cheating was involved and hence something should be done. Being cleared seems unfair:

Game 1650793

2008-01-22 21:00:27 - Risktaker17: pinjk take me off ignore
2008-01-22 21:01:00 - nagerous: yellow you are an idiot
2008-01-22 21:01:14 - nagerous: ignore list for u
2008-01-22 21:02:45 - nagerous: why would u hit the 6 of someone who isnt your target?
2008-01-22 21:02:59 - Risktaker17: yellow if you suicide me I will ignore you again
2008-01-22 21:03:23 - gloman55: YOU ARE MY TARGET ASS
2008-01-22 21:03:39 - nagerous: no you are my target
2008-01-22 21:03:44 - Risktaker17: but this isn't a suicide game
2008-01-22 21:03:49 - nagerous: and you hit my 6 armies
2008-01-22 21:03:51 - gonnawoopyourass: than why hit china?
2008-01-22 21:03:51 - Risktaker17: it'll be an 7v9 at best
2008-01-22 21:04:05 - jsmith72: gg
2008-01-22 21:04:15 - gonnawoopyourass: f*ck you yellow
2008-01-22 21:04:20 - gloman55: i had to go through you purple
2008-01-22 21:04:21 - nagerous: smart play yellow
2008-01-22 21:04:26 - nagerous: see you lost the game for us
2008-01-22 21:04:41 - gloman55: china blue had
2008-01-22 21:04:46 - gloman55: shut up

2008-01-22 21:03:59 - jsmith72 attacked Egypt from Europe and conquered it from nagerous
2008-01-22 21:03:59 - jsmith72 eliminated nagerous from the game
2008-01-22 21:03:59 - jsmith72 won the game

as it turns out I was jsmiths target and I was the one gloman suicided into though i wasnt his target.

How can they possibly be cleared? Looking at the first 34 of gloman's 6+ doodle earth assassin games, these are the games where he attacks someone else's target. 22 of 23 were with jsmith. Keep in mind that in the other 11, none of which were with jsmith, he did not attack someone else's target. First the lone game where he attacks someone else's target, followed by games where they blatently cheat, then ones where you can't tell, and finally ones where they didn't (or more likely, just cheated poorly) [all comments regard gloman's actions]:

Game 1472726 his only territory was Aus, so he's ostensibly just taking the path of least resistance. when he deployed, the target had 4, then 30 seconds later after he finished attacking, there were none.

Game 1462727
Game 1462755 attacked down to 1, another play took it to get to Aus
Game 1466772
Game 1472932 he was the target, he attacked different players every time, the team still lost
Game 1472738 both focused on one player, the team still lost
Game 1473147 they both attempted to attack one player, still lost
Game 1473170
Game 1473352 attacked a neutral to get to the target
Game 1473371 appears to be legit, but he is trapped in australia, has no choice who to attack
Game 1473491 he is the target, when he is down to one army on one territory, he doesn't deploy
Game 1473527 they team up to kill gloman's target (for once), jsmith takes more reds than gloman does
Game 1473584 appear legitimate, but upon closer inspection, gloman deploys elsewhere in the world and attacks so that jsmith can go through him to the target
Game 1473946 he is the target, attacked a neutral player so that jsmith could get to him

can't tell... not much happens in these games, mostly just one player winning before anyone else does anything.
Game 1472879
Game 1473257
Game 1473424
Game 1473470
Game 1473529
Game 1473743
Game 1473743

legit
Game 1473395 jsmith gets killed, never attacks anyone
Game 1473593 although they do seem to be moving towards the same player, and he stops attacking when he can't reach him anymore

Now, can some mods review this again, and this time actually look at the games, instead of whatever mystical process they apply to decide on collusion? This is not even half of them, so there are still plenty to look at.

How do you know gloman attacked some guy down to a 1, if he didn't take the territory? There is no way to tell by the logs. And the few games I looked at, Gloman attacks anyone in his way to get to his target, and does this in all of his games...

Because he has 1 left. It's there on the map. And firth is not an idiot (at least in this context). Did you look at the game?

No, that's not what happens. In 11 other games he plays without jsmith, he doesn't attack recklessly. It's almost as though he knows what he's doing....

Now, if people would stop jumping to his defense based on knowing him and not looking in depth into the games, then it would be painfully obvious that they're cheating a la our good pal krusher. Unless you are going to look at the games, then don't bother responding, you're just getting in the way. If you want to analyze the games and come up with some evidence to the contrary, then by all means, but don't just post because you hang out on the same forum with him.
