We do our best to sort out family members who share a computer and cheaters with multiple names. We are usually quite good at telling the difference, but not 100%. There is a slight risk by playing with your brother, but if a mistake is made you can always go to the "help" tab and fill out an eticket to appeal the mistaken punishment.
To minimize the chances of looking like a multi, avoid playing in the same standard games together. If you do want to play with each other, it is common courtesy to announce that you know each other at the start of the game. After that it is legal to play together as long as you treat each other like you would any other opponent. As I said, we are good about distinguishing the honest players and the cheaters so as long as you are honest you and your brother should be fine.
Thanks for the heads up!
