Its a fog of war game which often means that players don't know who is the strongest. Of course its possible that there was something else going on, but most likely it was probably a poor decision based on lack of info. In any case, there needs to be at least one other game where its suspected that they worked together, other wise it was probably a freak occurrence.

I didn't see this thread earlier. Here's my comment from another thread...

I just read through the entire game log carefully to make sure I wasn't missing anything. You weren't attacked until round 7, when you and yellow ran into each other. you guys went back and forth and you took him out. During this time, green was busy taking over the northern part of the map while red was busy taking over the southern part of the map. This is typical in fog games on that map... take over as much as you can while staying out of view of the other players. After you took out yellow, green continued his march across the top and red moved up from the north, with you in between the two. They both ran into you around the same time, and attacked you since you were the only one they saw. So I still don't see the "round after round" attacks you speak of. The game played out fine, with nothing that looked like a secret alliance taking place.

There is no question that I got into a honest battle with a player at the beginning..What is in question is why did magiiiiiiic attack me,when the game log says ellemann has 4 castles and just attacked his 40 sitting on the nothern plains border.Look at the game as it sits...You can theorize all you like,but when weakest attacks weakest...Its simple enough to see.
What Magiiiic did was come through realms.Attacked my castle which had a 40+ army and then ended his turn.He did all this knowing that ellemann had 50 troops sitting in Northern plains even if he hadnt read the game log.

Magiic did not "see" Ellemann until Round 13, when he broke through from Great Kingdom to Realm of Might... and he did attack Ellemann there but didn't have that many armies to do so with since in the previous round he had forted the vast majority of this men to N.P. 3 in a plan to break through to Feudal War. This was a chained game. As soon as they saw each other, they both attacked each other. Just so happens you and Ellemann had been fighting each other the couple rounds before that, when YOU were the strongest player, and Ellemann had weakened you enough to get your castles and take you out in the same round him and magiiic were going at it on the other side of the map.

So while I still don't see an alliance in this game, we'll watch for any other reports of possible alliances in other games.
