Random alliance announcements [sorted]

Postby lucky_topher on Mon Jan 28, 2008 1:47 pm

user: rob14

has been in 3 total games.

All three, he comes in and announces an alliance with people... declaring the alliance, without informing them...

I didn't notice until after my turn and i read the text below, but he lumped me in... it seems he comes in and grabs people right off the bat and jsut says they're an allegiance without them saying yes... in my game the other guy thought it really was that way and started planning a counter allegiance...

ehh.....

So he is just like:

"me, green, and yellow are now allies"
???

If no one actually agrees with it, just tell him that there is no alliance and forget about him.

That's not really cheating, or abuse, just stupidity.

if you look at the comments, you can see that another member started talking to the left over players to discuss a possible alliance between them as an attack...

it sets up false mindsets about who others will attack...

There is nothing wrong with announcing phony alliances as far as I can see. In some cases people may actually decide to ally with him. Just use the info against him since you never agreed to be allies....build up in a manner to protect yourself from others and kill him if the opportunity is right. If he leaves negative feedback I'm sure it would be removed as long as you point out that you never agreed to any alliance.
