I need to underscore that I'm completely unsure if this is actually collusion or within the guidelines, so I'd like another opinion.
I'm in a game http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=1526276 with both right now, World 2.1, and although at one time I was by far the strongest player, the balance has shifted somewhat - and somewhat suspiciously.
RUI and Patron spoke Spanish to one another at the start of the game, then after a series of minor opening attacks, RUI sort of ridiculously feigned anger at Patron, saying he "never wanted to play him again" and then threatened to suicide just to start another game.
Well, RUI was so "angry" at Patron he proceeded to NEVER attack him all game, in fact, in a turn in which I held almost all of africa and Patron held ALL of NA and SA and had already broken my african bonus, RUI drops everything in british claim and breaks another one of my south african bonuses with MORE armies protecting instead of going after Patron's relatively unprotected 30+ bonuses, which has obviously crippled me and will probably ultimately decide the game in Patron's favor.
I must stress that this is all circumstantial, and although it's suspicious nothing is obviously conclusive. I do not think this is a multi, I think they are friends and maybe have an unspoken or loose arrangement to help each other out.
So I decided to look at a little history.
Patron just joined - he has played a total of thirteen games. 3 of them are with RUI Alvarez - and in the previous two, one or the other has won. Coincidence? Maybe.
They are both spanish speaking guys with a country listing of the Netherlands. Again - coincidence? Maybe. Pretty specific coincidence, though.
