This survey is bogus.
I am pro choice - pro choice does not mean that I think abortion is right or wrong, it means I won't judge people who think that it is ok in their circumstances. I don't claim to be so knowledgable of the world that I can make decisions for other people. I think clearly the issue of abortion is so contenscious that you have to allow people the freedom to choose. It's clear that it is impossible to really know who is right or wrong so people should be allowed to make their own personal decision. Would I want my girlfriend to get an abortion? Probably not - and maybe I would find it hard to continue a relationship with her if she did; it's hard to really know the answer to a hypothetical like that. However I strongly feel that we should have the right to make that decision and not people who know nothing of our lives or the circumstances in which this hypothetical abortion would take place.
I also think any true Christian would have to be pro-choice because although the bible fairly clearly says the abortion is murder and a sin, it also says very clearly that God gave us free will and especially free will to sin and I think that's probably one of the most fundamental aspects to Christianity and I think Christians need to allow people the free will to sin and not to be Christians if they don't want to be. Obviously the Bible says that you should tell these people they're doing the wrong thing - but it also says that it is wrong to force religious beliefs onto other people. If you're Christian, by all means tell people what you think is right and wrong but trying to force them only to do the right thing is clearly against God's will.
This is why secularity is so important and should be supported by religious people as well as by athiests - so that the law is not influenced by religious views and so that people of other religious views are not oppressed by the religious views of the people in power.
