The 22 Maps Tournament - please vote so I can work out levels of interest - if we get above 66 people - its on

The tournament is the first team to win (you have to play teams that are in this competition - not just a call out to just any tom, dick and harry) on every map that’s currently (as of 1st August 2006) on Conquer Club. 22 Maps in total.
This competition starts on 1st October 2006

1. The tournament will require teams of 3 players from any part of the globe. pm your mates and sort out a team and come up with a team name – also sort out a leader.
Please don’t post teams in this thread – post them in this thread – where you post your team and then edit it with the results with a URL linked game for the maps won.
If you’re not in a team, then add your name to this thread saying you want to be in a team and pm other players directly also looking for team members – don’t contact me to sort out a team for you – I won’t respond.
If you come across some decent players in a game – invite them to join your team in the game chat, as not everyone comes to the forums.

2. Your team leader creates the map (pass worded) and game style that suits your teams preferred style of play, and advertise it in the call outs. Bear in mind that the first team to win 22 games wins – so choosing a weird, unpopular setting may not have everyone beating a path to your door. Once you have won on a map – post it on your team page. First team to win on every map wins.

3. Everyone organizes this themselves so I don’t have to do any work

WOW, this does sound complicated but very interesting.
So all the games have to be trips games?

Yes - teams of triples makes winning a map a 50-50 chance

22 maps is a lot of games

You can count the staches for a couple of teams.

this sounds like my kind of tournament but I dont think I'm equipped to do it.

id like to play but i dont have any friends lol so if anybody needs a teamate ill play

but wait, wouldnt teams with all premium be at an advantage versus teams with a non-premium member because they could start all 22 games at once if they wanted while the other team can do a max of 4 games at a time?

yep, thats why everyone should go buy premium.

You should make it so you have to beat another registered team to count. Otherwise the Bushwhackers are going to create 22 Public games and win those.

It's an advantage - but if you get to wipe out a premium team - thats one more they have to start. It's 22 games - and not everyone likes every game. if everyone joins in it could take a very long time - providing you chose the right style of game play that suits your style of play.

if you got U on your side - he wont let you down, and will crack some skulls on the way.

Oh, I just re-read your first post, the games have to be private, so nevermind.

I guess I won't be playing anyway. Triples are not my type of game.

This idea reminds me of the unconference some guy I know was organizing. You might want to call this an untournament

The only team you can play for a win is another team in the competition

No - you have to be seen to of beaten a team of 3 who have entered the tournament.
