The Jack Of All Maps: Season 2
Posted: Tue Jul 22, 2008 7:40 am
Open to all, only 1 game slot needed per round.
This is The Jack of All Maps tournament series. There are 12 rounds and 12 maps per tournament, 4-6 players per game and all but the first eliminated from each game move on to the next round. Each round will be a different map, chosen at random.
I'll host a bunch of The Jack of All Maps tourneys, and when all the maps have been covered in at least 1 tournament I will host a Jack of all Maps: Masters tournament where the winners from the previous tournaments compete to see who is the ultimate Jack Of All Maps.
Changes to Season 2: I've decided to take out Flat Rate games. I feel they add too much of the luck factor to games (and made a round 2 of Season 1 last forever). All games are now either escalating or no cards with either chained or unlimited forts. If many people want flat rate games back in the tournament say something and we'll see.
Round Details:
*75 entrants, 12 rounds, 4-6 players per round

Maps and Settings:
*To pick maps I used a random number picker between 1-87 (for 87 maps numbered left to right, top to bottom).
*If a number comes up twice I'm ignoring it until all maps are used
*Settings I picked with variety and game length in mind.
*The number in brackets beside the map is the map's number

Think of the whole thing like a TV series similiar to Survivor. This is season 2, we'll have 1 winner. After all the maps are used in at least 1 season we'll grab all the winners from each season and throw them into a tournament by themselves to see is the ultimate survivor (or in this case the Jack Of All Maps).
