Fight for the Nation [Ongoing]

Welcome to the "Fight for the nation" tournament. The tournament will start on April 15 or as soon as all vacancies are filled. All Conquer Club players are eligible to join as long as you have three spots for Round 1 and one spot for the rest of the tournament. The minimum total amount of players is 30. I am though looking and willing to accept more. To sign up just post a message in this topic thread or send RedRover23B a PM. I hope you all enjoy the tournament.


Tournament Announcements:


April 26, 2008: 6:00 PM

Changes have been made concerning the time limit and the point system for round one. Also, there has been a new round added.

Minor changes are in consideration. Details will be announced in this topic as well as through PM once a decision has been reached. These changes are intended to make the tournament more enjoyable. I expect a decision to be reached at some point during the day on April 26, 2008.

Defense Division


On the brink of a large attack from a neighboring country, wars have broken amongst you and your immediate neighbors. Disputes over course of action and who will take charge of the defense of your nation is holding you and your neighbors alike from being able to fight at your full potential.
You must solve these differences and coordinate a defense quickly before the invading country attacks. Will there be enough time to prepare for the assault? Or will you fall to foreign rule? Only you can make the choice.

Round 1- Preparations for War

Map: The map you register for below.
Number of Games played: 3
Number of Players per game: 5
Game type: Standard
Play Order: Sequential
Bonus Cards: None
Fortifications: Unlimited
Fog of War: No Fog
Time Limit: 12 Rounds*

Success in the first three games will be based on a point system. First by defeating all other opponents - 5 points First - 4 Points Second - 3 Points Third - 2 points Fourth - 1 point and Fifth - 0 Points

*A time limit will be implemented. The winner of the round will be determined at the end of round 12 by using BOB's strength rankings which takes into consideration: Number of armies, Territories, Bonuses, and Deterred Armies. The person with the highest ranking will be determined the winner and will receive four points.

Since diplomacy failed, war ravaged your people and decimated your fighting force. Your people's battle for control left you weakened for the invasion that was about to come. The war came and you lost. All your people were killed and your village burnt to the ground and you died also - The End (Just Kidding). You take a survey of your people's remaining numbers and the report showed that you were greatly out manned in comparison to the force to come. To rectify the situation you go to the member of your clan that you admire most and request an alliance so that you both may continue as a nation. Soon after you have secured your new alliance, your will to survive and work together is tested.

Round 2 - The Defense


Map: The map you have been fighting to unite
Number of Players: 4
Game Type: Doubles (You partner is the person you chose to aid you)
Play Order: Sequential
Bonus Cards: None
Fortifications: Unlimited
Fog of War: None

If the winner comes to be, the attackers than you have failed to uphold your way of life and all that you worked hard to built. Your village was pillaged and burnt to the ground but all hope is not lost. If you have not defeated than congratulations you survived. Either way, it is now time for your revenge. You really want to make the people pay for having the audacity to come to your homelands. You want power though you do not have much considering you that your army now has been in two costly battles. You turn for help from another one of your people groups in your nation and you take it to them.

Round 3 - Revenge

Map: The invaders home map
Number of Players: 6
Game Type: Triples (Your previous alliance now combined with another person from your first game)*
Play Order: Sequential
Bonus Cards: None
Fortifications: Unlimited
Fog of War: None

*The third member you choose to have join your alliance must be agreed upon by the original two players. To demonstrate that such an agreement has been decided each member of the original alliance will message me with their country's name and the name of the player they wish to join the alliance. If no agreement is reached in a days time than the next point leader will be appointed to serve as the third team member.

If your invasion failed than at least you have saved your people and now have grown closer to the other people groups in your nation. You can now live to fight the other nation some other day.

If your invasion was successful than congratulations on enduring so much to achieve victory, your people are now safe. You have made it. Well done.

No matter the outcome, You may advance to Round 4.

Round 4 - Expansion

Map: The map will be the three other maps you have not yet played on in the Attackers Division.
Number of Players: 6
Game Type: Triples (The alliance from Round 3 - No changes)
Play Order: Sequential
Bonus Cards: None
Fortifications: Unlimited
Fog of War: None

Expansion comes to all great nations. You are now one of them through internal strife and invading armies you prevailed to embark on a new leg of your nation's history. Go to the nations of the world and make your mark in their history.

Round 1- Unification

Map: The map you register for below

Your father, the king of your nation, has suddenly became very ill. He is unable to lead. Appointed to take his position for the time being, the people give you a cold reception. Civil war wages and your first task as Chancellor is to quell the rebellion and reunite the empire.

Your nation is unified, you are now prepared to launch the assault. The men are prepared and equipped. You feel though that something is wrong that everything you have is not enough. You are looking for more. You feel that you need more men to help you in your campaign. Knowing that some of the provinces under your control that serve on the council have considerable sized armies that they might be willing to offer to you, you go to one of them and ask for their alliance.

Round 2 – The Invasion

Map: The map of your choice out of the options listed in the Defense Division.*
Number of players: 4
Game Type: Doubles (You partner is the person you chose to aid you)
Play Order: Sequential
Bonus Cards: None
Fortifications: Unlimited
Fog of War: None

* Only one attacking country per Defensive country which means that you may have to chose again the country you wish to attack. The process will be on a first come first serve basis. You will decide on whom you wish to attack at the end of the first round. The Chancellor (Original winner) will have complete say in the matter, though, if desired the Chancellor may consult the person that was just brought on for guidance.

If your successful than congratulations their territory is now yours. You are a bit worried that you could not identify the bodies of their country’s leaders but you are sure they are somewhere to be found in the wreckage. If you were repelled than be on guard for their counterattack. They can be very dangerous and now with a weaker army you might be in for real trouble.

You start to expect a counterattack; waiting is very hard for you. Just like your men, you suffer more from anticipating and expecting the enemies than actually fighting them. Off in the distance you are able to see something, you are not sure what it is but it looks like soldiers and horses. At the same time of your peering off into the distance one your scouts, with fresh mild injuries comes to you out of breath stating that there is a large army approaching. You, comforted and worried all at the same time scramble to consult the council. Your words fall on disapproving ears but they remain confident that victory will come. The group of men that were appointed to watch over you expected something to go wrong to this nature. They prepared for you an army to help ward off your enemies; none of them though has any combat experience. You must with, your war partner find a commander to lead the troops.

Round 3 – The Counterstrike

Number of players: 6
Game Type: Triples (Your previous alliance now combined with another person from your first game)*
Play Order: Sequential
Bonus Cards: None
Fortifications: Unlimited
Fog of War: None

If your defense failed than at least you have let your father down and the armies that you have in other fronts across the kingdom must now be retracted to solve the problem that you have created.

If your defense was successful than congratulations on enduring so much to achieve victory, your people are now safe and the enemy vanquished. You have brought your father wealth and pride. You now are considering to expand the empire even more. The council approves of your war plans and so you continue with them.

No matter the outcome, You may advance to Round 4.

Round 4 - Expansion

Map: The map will be the three other maps you have not yet played on in the Defense Division.
Number of Players: 6
Game Type: Triples (The alliance from Round 3 - No changes)
Play Order: Sequential
Bonus Cards: None
Fortifications: Unlimited
Fog of War: None

If anyone wants to fight for a country instead of USA or Africa than you may substitute it with the following : Ancient Greece, Artic, Asia, British Islse, Canada, Italy, North America, Phillipines, or Brazil.
