CC's Historical Battles (Cycle 2 Underway - SemFinals Fever)
Posted: Thu Oct 11, 2007 7:00 am
The premise of this tournament is a dramatic enactment of all of the "battle" maps that CC currently has to offer. This will determine once and for all, who is the greatest masterbattler... Hahah. But no, seriously folks...
By my identification, I have found 7 battle maps on offer. I decided to discount "games" like crossword or chinese checkers.
The maps, and their chronological sequence of rounds are as follows
Battle of Actium sometime in BC
Siege Middle Ages
Pearl Harbor Dec. 7 1941
Eastern Front (whole war 1941-1945)
Australia (1942-1943)
D-Day-June 6, 1944
Iwo Jima- Feb-March 1945
All games will be 4 player, standard, sequential, flat, unlimited.
Players will be awarded 1, 2, 3, and 5 points depending on their order of elimination in each match. At the end of each match, a summary of the order of eliminations should be prepared by the winner and posted here.
I will keep a running total of the scores in the post below.
This will be a straight random round robin for the first 7 matches, one on each map, with opponents being randomly cycled each round.
There will then be a finals round with the 20 top scoring players, which will be a further cycle through the 7 maps, each with different randomly selected opponents
Finally, we will play the grand final, with a last cycle through all 7 maps with the 4 top scoring players from the finals round (only finals scores count).
You do not have to be premium to play in this tournament, but if you opt in, you must guarantee to keep one slot dedicated open for this tournament. Only one game will be played simultaneously.
