Basically this tourney is for bad players
What ever happened to wanting to play the best to get better
I do not have a problem with signing up with a particular rank or range, but the disqualifying because someone does well and rises in rank should not be allowed. All that will do is give a free pass. What happens if the finals are set and one or both of the players rise into the captain rank. Do you give a free title or no title at all?

if someone gets eliminated due to rank, the last person they eliminated goes through

that rule is just the most stupid thing i have read in the turney forums in a long time and im not even sure its allowed within the structure.. its like having a tournament set up where the prize goes to the first player to be eliminated..

It is the best solution. the 2nd best player would go through, not the worst, and i've seen it done several times, but mostly with deadbeating.
