What a pity. Last post on this thread by lord v was 26th May, despite numerous subsequent requests for a status update. What's the point of starting something you can't see through to the end?

There may have to be some amendments to the format if I'm to proceed with this. I can see now why lovo dropped it, as the bulk of the games (and there are many) are really dealing with losing teams going into repechages for several rounds despite clear-cut winning teams having already advanced into the Finals.

Qualifying 2 = 90 games to create (9 pools of 5 playing a round robin format)
Qualifying 3 = Knockout for losers, 21 games
Last Chance Qualifying 4 = 21 games (7 teams in a round robin)
Finals Stage 1 = 48 games (6 pools of 4 in a round robin format)
Finals Stage 2 = 16 games (knockout plus a 3rd place playoff)

Total games still to create = 196 (yet we already have 15 finalists!)

If there are no objectors then I propose to alter the Qualifying Stage 2 so that it's not a 9 pool round robin format. All teams can remain in the tourney so there's no need to despair or to dissent - every team still has a chance thus the tourney can/should still continue. I simply can't do it though if I have to create so many games.

I'm just getting around to updating it all ubc. First off I needed approval that the format could be changed (see my post above) which has since been received. Foolowing that I've been busy with a few other issues on CC just lately and I'm afraid this took a back seat, but now I'm back on to it again and will be updating the whole thing very soon.
