Scoreboard updated - interesting results, so far. More killers than victims, and several multiple game winners.

That's happened several times in this tournament, and it's why I refer to 'Winner', rather than 'Killer'. I'm considering a way to deal with this in my next assassin tournament, so stay tuned. In any case, it's part of the game -- happens all the time in assassin, either through carelessness or cluelessness. It's not something to get too excited about.

Please note that I posted this as an epic game before the accidental taking out of the wrong player, I wasn't pointing out the mistake, but that (until that point) this was a long epic struggle.

I can't help but notice that cyan, in 'messing up', managed to secure a correct killer prediction. Not that I think that was his reasoning, but it's a consideration....

The only way to get eliminated in this tournament is by mediocrity. Winners advance, as do victims. There's a fair number of players who will advance in both brackets.

Re: Killer:Victim:Detective:Coroner; 2 games left in Rd. 1

Scoreboard updated, including new data from the Tournament Stats tool. Might be helpful for handicapping in round 2. Only 2 games left in round 1, so we'll be starting again soon with 5 new games each.

I also updated the rules regarding reserves -- basically: if you are eliminated, you're a reserve.

Re: Killer:Victim:Detective:Coroner -- Round 2 Starting

Round 2 beginning!

20 players (out of a possible 30) won at least 1 game in Round 1, and advance in the Winner's Bracket: 2 groups of 7, 1 of 6, random assignments for 5 games each.

21 players advance in the Victim's Bracket, 3 groups of 7.

Players who didn't advance will act as reserves, in the following order:

milo67
Pwyll
nashlloyd
MoB Deadly
iblaskov
Zorbas

Be sure and check out the scoreboard, there's good statistical data there which might help predictions.

All round 2 games out, reminders being sent now.

Note that winners bracket group 2, and victims bracket group 3 games will not start earlier than Thursday of this week due to a single player's pre-arranged absence.

Don't forget to make your predictions -- I'm instituting a rule change for them: you have 3 rounds to make your predictions. This will increase the number of correct predictions, and the number of predictions overall.
