Quarterfinals
https://flic.kr/p/2qt15dshttps://flic.kr/p/2qv7g1EPremium only on this one due to the large volume of maps in play.
Each game will consist of a 24-map group of 1 vs 1 matchups.
---------------------------------------
This tournament is designed to replicate the college football bracket.
I'm starting with a 16-team bracket, but if we get enough interest, I'm open to expanding the field to 32 teams.
I anticipate that each game will take about 24 maps to get through, so plan your commitment accordingly.
And it's a straight single elimination bracket. Win four playoff games (16-team bracket) and you claim the championship.
Game play ...
Each team will get 3 possessions in each quarter for a total of 12 drives during the game.
You will be on offense for 12 of those drives and on defense for the other 12 ... total of 24 for the full game.
Each quarter you will get 1 possession on your preferred map and settings, 1 possession on a rotating group* (see below) and 1 possession will be on random map*.
Rotating maps -- 1st Q Classic, 2nd Q Arms Race!; 3rd Q Great Lakes; 4th Q USA
*settings for these maps will be escalating, chained, foggy
20-round limit for all maps.
OVERTIME
If tied after regulation (24 drive maps), then overtime will be played.
Each team will get a possession from midfield, whoever scores the most after one possession apiece wins the game.
If the game remains tied, then an additional overtime will be played, etc, until we have a winner.

(and if needed this will loop through again in the same rotation)
Drive results
Results of each drive will follow the chart below with small bonuses given based on spoils held at the end of the game and total troops at the end of the game. Note: It is to your advantage to win your map quickly.
If the defensive player wins the map, then drives will be shorter, you'll force a 3-and-out or possibly a turnover.
If the offensive player wins the map, the drives are longer either resulting in a touchdown and likely putting you in field goal range.

KICKING GAME
Field goal success will be determined by how closely you get to the goalpost (see chart). The shorter the kick, the higher your success rate.
Each attempt will be run through random.org. If your randomly generated number comes in under the % for your range then the kick is good.
Note: % boosts are in play depending on spoils earned over the course of the drive.
Kickoffs: After scoring plays, the distance on the ensuing kickoff will also be determined by the spoils advantage.
The team on the top line of the bracket will start the game with the ball at its own 25-yard line.
The opposing team will start with the ball in the second half also at their own 25-yard line.
Point After Touchdown
The default will be to attempt the 1-point kick after a touchdown.
If you would like to go for 2 (38.4-percent chance of converting) then simply post that in the game chat if you believe you have a touchdown drive.
I know there's a lot going on here, but I trust it will make more sense once we are playing.
Feel free to ask questions in the thread where they can be answered for all, or simply to get some advice. Sign-ups
Any NCAA team is eligible (preferably football-playing schools), but you can use FCS or lower division teams if you like.
When signing up state your NCAA team and supply a preferred map with settings (cards, forts, trench, etc) NO POLY.
