TOURNAMENT FORMAT:

This is a League Format. Each League will have 20 Players. Every Season, 4 will be Promoted and 4 Relegated.

The Premier League will have 7 being RELEGATED every Season.


Finish 1st: You get Promoted 3 Leagues
Finish 2nd: You Get Promoted 2 Leagues
Finish 3rd: You Get Promoted 1 League
Finish 4th: You Get Promotied 1 League
Finish 5th to 16th: Remain in Current League
Finish 17th-18th: Get relegated 1 League
Finish 19th: Get relegated 2 Leagues
Finish Bottom: Get relegated 3 leagues

***Premier League will have 7 players relegated: Bottom Drops 3 Leagues, 18th and 19th Drop 2, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th Drop 1.



As a NEW SUPER LEAGUE PLAYER, you will start in one of the bottom Leagues. This Tournament will run for years. You have plenty of time to work your way to the TOP!


LEAGUE GAMES:

- You play a Match Up versus every Opponent in your League. A Match Up consisting of 4 Games.
- 1 Game on Your HOME MAP
- 1 Game on Your Opponents HOME MAP
- 2 Games on Random Map
- Auto-Snaps will be in place for players who have joined Games 1st


SCHEDULE:
The Kick Off - 1st Match Set Up of Season - 4 Match Days are set up (16 games)
Match Day 5-Match Day 8 - 1 Match Day (4 games) is set up on a Monday, and 1 on a Thursday
Mid-Season Madness - Match Day 9 - 11 - 3 Match Days are Set Up (12 Games)
Match Day 12 - 16 - 1 Match Day (4 games) is set up on a Monday, and 1 on a Thursday
Match Day 17+18+19 - 3 Match Days are set up to complete the Season (12 games)

MATCH DAY SET UP DAYS:
The KICK OFF: Match Day 1-4 is always 1st Monday/Thursday of ever 2nd Month. All played together
Match Days 5-8: 1 Match Day (4 games) is set up on a Monday, and 1 on a Thursday.
Mid-Season Madness - Match Day 9 - 11 - 3 Match Days are Set Up. All played together
Match Day 12-16: 1 Match Day (4 games) is set up on a Monday, and 1 on a Thursday.
Match Day 17+18+19 - 3 Match Days are set up to complete the Season. All Played together.


SCORING:
This is where it gets really, really good!!!!
4-0 WIN: 3 Points
3-1 WIN: 2 Points
2-2 DRAW: 1 Point
1-3 LOSS: 0 Points
0-4 LOSS: 0 Points

TIE BREAKERS:
1. Points
2. Goal Difference
3. Highest Number of 4-0 Wins
4. Highest Number of 3-1 Wins
5. Lowest Total Game Duration of All the CURRENT Seasons games***

***All Start Times of Games will be 12:00 CCT on the Match Day Set Up and will be the same for all players. It is this time and not the actual start time of the game that is used to calculate Game Durations.
***Where Games are closed as Predicted Result, Completion time is counted as 23.59 CC Time on the day the Season Ends.

REST SEASONS:
Each Season lasts 2 months. You are commited to playing 3 out of 6 Seasons in a Calendar Year. So, for 3 Seasons every year you can take a Rest Season where you hold your League position and do not need to play.

Lots of Leagues are starting to take shape, but let's see who is setting a BLISTERING PACE in their League........

League 08 Average Rank: 1762 Runners: 20
2007spaceodyssey, Rank:2021, 5th Seed for League 08. A late starter in the Super League, nailed Super League 20 but that is his only League success to date. He'll be anxious to get another title under his belt ASAP as now every League is twice as hard to win. He is off to an absolute flyer here! 5 Match Ups finished. He's PUMPED wombat4 and chewie1 SILLY, recording 2x 4-0 Victories. It's looking like a bad time to have a number after your username in this League. Thank God I'm not in it! 2x 3-1 Wins versus chapmang and mcaciator and 1 solitary draw. He is now 4 points clear. It looks like Mojo2222 & Jimmy V could be his biggest threat but they are way back in 6th and 7th but have a number of Match Ups in hand. It's not over yet but 2007spaceodyssey is set to remain in POLE-POSITION for a while yet!

League 12 Average Rank: 1456 Runners: 19
panzermeyer 'The Tank', Rank:2235, 1st Seed. Highest Ranked player in League 12. Failed to win his 1st Title in his 1st Season but it looks like he is roaring back with avengeance here! 6 Match Ups in out of 19 and he has already PUMPED ArkieDog & woolleyy 'Boolleyy' SILLY. Add another 3x 3-1 Wins and 1 Draw and he is MILES IN FRONT! Already 'The Tank' is 6 Points clear. It looks like his only threat is 5th Seed beardbuster who trails in 2nd place but has 3 Match Ups in hand. Anyway, seen as panzermeyer is named after the WWII German Tank. I am going to share some little known history. Everybody thinks that Germany had the best tanks in WWII in the Panzer. But it's a myth. ITALY had by far the MOST SUPERIOR Tanks. They were SO FAR ADVANCED they actually had 14 Gears!...................1 to go forward..................................13 for REVERSE!

This has been an enjoyable experience, but I'd like to formally withdraw from CCSL.

You're already down as Retiring M8, just finish this Seasons games and you won't be included next Season.

Having bigger leagues the same size as the premier does make sense to me....so if there is a vote and it doesn't present some logistics nightmare I say yes.

bigger leagues seem cool. i would vote to move in that direction.

Posting to agree with the idea of expanded league size either to match premier league, or maybe just larger to 16 teams for example.

You will need to explain your idea better as I don't get it. One thing I do know is play-offs do not work. They just make every Season last much longer and 99% of the Participants sit and do noting, sometimes for months at a time until the play off is decided.

Bigger leagues sound good, but the season the same length so we get to play as many seasons as we do now.

What's the policy regarding having other people take your turns in this tournament? Is that allowed? It seems like it shouldn't be allowed, as this is neither a clan event nor are they team games, but is there an official stance on this?

You can have sitters. It is allowed. As long as the sitters make it clear that it is them who are taking the turns.

I voted for increasing League Sizes.

Also I think it is too late in the Season to implement ay change this Season so I vote for any change to be made at the end of next Season.

I am really unsure of how Promotion and Relegation will look.

Maybe 3 League Promotion for winning your League.
2 League Promotion for finishing 2nd.
3x 1 League Promotions for finishing 3rd/4th/5th.

I voted no. The current set up means that there are very few dead rubbers because promotion and/or relegation are in play for everyone up until the very last games. A 20-player division will likely mean that several players will have nothing to play for towards the end of the season.

I vote no. I'm happy with the current format and like the home and away x 2 times per season. Having said that I'd still stay if it changed because I enjoy CCSL.

I voted YES, increase the league size to 20 for all leages.
Why: it's more natural to have the same leagues sizes for all leagues, and new players can reach the top sooner.

About promotion / relegation:
I agree with Craig's idea:
League winner gets 3 leagues promotion
2nd gets 2 leagues promotion
3rd, 4th and 5th get 1 league promotion
And on the other end:
16th, 17th and 18th are relegated one league
19th is relegated 2 leagues
20th is relagated 3 leagues

For the Premier, this means that 8 players are relegated every season, which is still acceptable.

I propose to start with these rules as from season 23 (January 2025).

Bigger leagues seem the way to go! Maybe 5 up to the next league and 5 down to league below?

The current setup is good as it is.
